Our sun is not truly overhead, it lists a little to the south.
So are my Afghan autos. I haven't moved them since I started them.

No disrespect intended. I actually do smell the plants regularly to note the difference between them. I love that you mentioned the smell. I take that as an education! I don’t know if a male or female smells louder than the other, but I definitely know they all smell different in their own way.

You are fine. I love the repartee. LOL
The Japanese beetles don't seem to have a taste for weed, just my flowers so there's that.
We also have oriental beetles that show up after dark. Every once in a while I get out there early or late and pick them off too. I got a headlamp to go searching for them and voile!.

It's a humid morning at my place and the whole yard smells like skunk. No stem rub required for 2 plants. The other plants don't even register on the smell-o-meter most days, everything smells like skunk. I suspect it's 2 lady skunks.

It's like having a wine tasting with no way to cleanse the palate. One smell controls all.

One of the free seeds from Kalifka Genetics is Aladdins Skunk and I almost hoped it didn't survive, but both ladies did and are growing bigger than any other! I went back and read the description and it says, 'does not smell like skunk' yay!

After I moved the bagged plants that used to reside on the porch, to the back acre I noticed they were a bit more yellow than their sisters in the ground. So I gave each about a quart of Alaska fish fertilizer.
Also, the Iranian is growing like gangbusters.
@Beazy here are the two Sunshine Daydream 'females'. (I hope) One in the 12 and one in a 7 gallon pot.
The Angel '98 grows differently in the pot vs. ground.

Okay, took a couple of pics in the sun. They got a little washed out, but one of them (in the 12) is definitely female.
The one in the pot, don't know.
