I give mine a shower every once in a while! Here they are dry within 15 minutes! Probably a different story at 85% humidity! But Rooke gets rained on all summer and fall for their showers! And has learned to deal with it as best he can! Thankfully, that doesn’t happen here!😀
Give me a mile high dry any day! Swamp cooler works here🙏

This little squirt Jalisco showed female yesterday! On a bit of a roll! And then the whole shooting match!

Well, he’s in for a hell of a summer! I think Henderson is the same as Vegas! Last time I looked a half hour ago the RH was 8%! I’ll bet those pots dry out real quick! Or reach boiling real quick! Lol!View attachment 2470318
Nipping at your heels, Vegas!😆 won’t catch you thankfully! But it looks like the real summer has arrived!🥵😁🍻

When I transplanted this Hunza valley three weeks ago I managed to kink it right where the stalk turns into roots! Had my doubts about whether it would heal up underground! Removed the support today and it seems fairly solid! Time to see how it handles a little breeze! So far so good!

Despite some early blunders and a few duds these two clearly want to live, however, the real test may be yet to come.
I have a small portable mister I'm trying to keep on the pots most the time, they get blasted with the irrigation line mister during a shady moment mid-day and four more times during the evening and night. There's a hose and I was just out spraying the pots. I'll stand a couple frozen Gatorade bottles on top of the soil for a while later and show them all the love I can muster.

I'll be gone through the weekend starting Thursday but I have a friend I can count on to help me out. I can see them out the window from my chair and if they need something they can message me 😄

Amy, that’s a blast from the past! Was up in your neck of the woods, came down from Lassen this AM, man was it smokey in the north valley! Had a bit of a surprise up in the mountains. About three weeks ago I planted a couple more fruit trees, I mixed the local soil (volcanic ash/sand) with some used FFOF, well there must of been some seeds in the mix, because now in the well around the trees there’s about 8 plants about 10-12 inches tall in each well!!!! They get flood watered every three days. We’ll see how they do at 4500 feet. The weather is pretty wonky even now, 36 in the AM, 90 in the afternoon.

Nice Phyto! I hope they kind of take off for you! I’ve got a volunteer that took off here! Yeah, there’s a couple of fires up lakehead way I think! Nothing huge yet! One dog creek area! Sounds like the other one was on the Shasta end of fenders ferry! Both way out in remote country! Lightning caused! A lot of folks have never run into Amyl nitrite ! They are better off for it! Lol!🤪

Instead of replacing the worn drive wheels on the Honda I went with retreading with a chopped up mountain bike tire! Hopefully these nobbies will pull me up the hill instead of me muscling the damn thing up! Might hold its line better when mowing sideways across the steep hill! Never know till you try! And it cost less than half as much as OEM replacement wheels! For anyone who’s drive wheels have turned into slicks!😀🍻View attachment 2468981
