I agree. Obviously, Shanti's account was incorrect. He said that Sam didn't have a seed company. If he's wrong about one thing maybe we should question the rest. I believe that Just Say No wasn't until later.
Just noticed the 1981 on the ad, Just Say No started in 1984. Wondering why Skunkman didn't go all the way with this? (Greenhouse and Mr. Nice are recognized seed banks around the world) Bad luck? It's really amazing some of these phenos are still around in 2025! Skunk #1, Black Widow, Super Silver Haze, etc.

Not bad luck. He wasn't in it for the money. He wanted to improve the quality of the cannabis he smoked. He liked getting high and his goal was to improve and create superior genetics. Those Dutch seed companies that were sending seeds to the US were breaking the law. They were willing to take the risk because they were making millions selling seeds for $10 a pop. Sam just wanted to do his thing without being harassed so he went the legal route and got permits which allowed him to breed for selective cannabinoids. He bred the first high CBD variety and others that were high in other cannabinoids. He didn't want the celebrity or to make millions. That was never his goal. He just wanted to be happy and that he was.

I respect that his goal was to make some dam good weed, but putting an ad out for seeds, doesn't look like he wasn't trying to make money. You can tell his passion for it in every interview out there. At least the ones I've seen or heard. A pioneer for sure. I also dig Shanitibaba story as well, still has his library up for grabs decades later. I don't have a dog in this little controversy, don't even entirely understand it. It's all fascinating at the same time.

He gave a lot away. I think he was trying to recoup his investment so that he could afford to continue his breeding program. That was his passion and he had no other income.

I haven't watched/seen the video you're talking about but if you're going to make accusations you should provide proof. I know that some were but ALL? Can you generalise less? I know the truth because I was there and know most of the players. I don't know you. The only Nick I knew of was in the Dutch mafia. Is that you?

How? Please provide evidence to back up your accusations. I can go around saying that GNick55 is a pedophile serial killer but without proof it means nothing, does it?

LOL. I started to watch the video and stopped when the narrator said that he took "stolen" seeds to The Netherlands. What a bunch of BS. Surely you never met him and have no idea of his accomplishments. You're just another rumor monger. If you know something that I don't please tell me. Otherwise put up or shut up.

no not involved with them guys but involved with moving hashish, mushrooms, lsd,..
i can have any opinion i want and anyone with their eyes half opened knows weed has only gotten crappier since 1990,. if you think weed has been legalized because of your rights or the govnt came to their senses than your totally wrong,,
that interview explains it all clear as day,..

Interview? With whom? I only heard a guy spewing lies and that's enough for me. I don't care what you "think", either because I "know".

Where does Sensi Seeds' Jack Herer come into this? I've heard that it's not the same now as it was when Nevil was there. True? False all depends on breeder as u know there are many pheno types and it all depends on the pheno that has been used to create the desired structure and terp profile you especially notice the difference and n phenotypes more with hybrids and what they refer to as boutique breeders but to me boutique breeders is a very funny name basically it means the breeder has created thier own strain but has not refined it has not done a pheno hunt and out of a pack of 10 beans you will get 10 different phenotypes take booberry pancakes I won't name the br eder but a s of confessed legend of seeds lol I had 10 different phenotypes ranging from a 3 ft high indica dominant pheno to a 2.2 metre sativa and everything in between these seeds were regulars not feminized and some even sprouted two saplings with the avo be root system I even had one seed pop and it had three saplings out of the one seed with one football apparently this was a trait from Frankenberry it has mutations it is Frankenberry X blueberry pancakes and when you have seed stock that is regular you get the choice of all these wonderful different terpene profiles as well as structures that make up the phenotypes the only thing I've really noticed with feminised seeds is that they'll have slightly different strengths in terpene flavours and THC

Not sure why you cant let this go ?....read this same stuff many times over the years..
Would you let it go if someone who doesn't even breed or even grow takes credit for years of work Aussies take great offence to this and that is the difference between breeders/growers and drug dealers if you ask a breeder aurora grow up is it top shelf and you'll get a truthful answer he ask a drug dealer if it's top shelf or s*** and they'll always lie to your face to sell it basically a used car salesman
