I think the whole top kola is going to foxtail spiral all the way down…

Do you think it really helps that much to get rid of all the bottom stuff? I don’t do that! Just kind of wondering why? Boy those plants grow in July and August! Get out of their way! I see that you don’t do it on all of them!

I also had a lot of bud rot my second year growing, and I did not trim anything other than top the plant. I feel if it could breathe better, it would help.

Right on! We live in two totally different environments! On mine, if it’s not laying on the ground, it grows!

We get all kinds of weather here. A lot of times all in the same day.

I also observed that the thinned out plants withstand storms better.

Oh, I’ve seen that! On your thread! From miniature tornadoes and hurricanes to torrential downpours! It’s no easy task back there!
