As soon as I saw this I thought it was a cassette tape lol. Don't think the youngins know what that is.

I've never used a humidity dome so I'm not sure.

I also thought it was a cassette tape, but converted to, ?......

I try and stay away from domes.....they work.....and they work wonders!!!

But if I were to use them for seedlings, once they were above ground, I'd take it off....

Others that use um might tell a different story......

Everything looks on point Week4!!!

Thanks guys .. Its depends on how I feel on any given grow whether I drop in soil or party cup, or humidity dome...😏 Always mixing it up.

And I'm fucken surprised these ladybugs survived the trip in this 100+ degree weather. 😐 All of them. They all survived.

I wrote a review on this on the trainwreck and said it looks like a cassette tape πŸ˜‚

now a vcr tape!πŸ˜‚. Week4 the instructions state to open them when they sprout a few at a time. Keep in mind you will lose the ability to retain humidity for others that didn’t sprout. Personally I don’t like the seed tray it comes with. I remove that and the water tray and use solo cups. Six fit perfect.

Nice looking harvest. i would like to see your prechop photos when you have a chance to post.

Your not gonna believe this, or yes you will... one of the seeds popped seemling without a head and/or just went backwards on me. And after closer inspection found the pods to be way too soggy. I fucked it up again. So yeah, moved them to party cups and removed the tray last night. Or the one that did pop correctly to a party cup, we dropped the replacement seed in some water for a presoak before adding it to the party cup later today. I think I do this dance every year πŸ˜’

Alright... We took @Putthataway advice 😏 party cups are a go. Just the two. Have to slow my roll a bit. And I'm slipping big time. Didn't mark which seed was which. So we have a Nana Glue and a Humboldt Afghani, OR.... Two Humboldt Afghani πŸ˜πŸ˜•πŸ€ͺ see if we can tell two months from now.

Quick Bruce Banner 3 update. We're just about done with the three week stretch. (This Saturday )

Which means.. amp the ppfd a bit. We raised the light bar and dialed up the output to near 750-800 PPFD. We are better than good on food. Soil is stacked. Watering from the top and the bottom. We have soil mosiure sensors for both areas. Things are cruising and have a great feeling about this grow. πŸ™‚

Always watching videos on the daily looking for tips or just to confirm shit in my brain.. plus it's entertaining. Found a segment on measuring leaf surface temps. Think they mentioned that this leaf surface temperatures was what really counted as far as ambient temps go. That's what I heard, maybe I was half asleep , but it got me to check the temps, love that tool. Aim that red dot and boom... instant leaf temps. Compared to the last grow I'm 4 degrees cooler on the leaf surface temps. I updated the AC Infinity (controller) Leaf Temp Offset.

Citric Acid.. a dirty word to some folks. I was hesitant to use it, mainly to help descale the hard water of my tap. (Leaves a heavy scale.) I sometimes RO filter to remove that (delete salts too) but can be a drag to use sometimes. Plus the waste, bothers me some days. Anyways, finding out that the roots of our plants create citric acid (on their own) put me at ease to try this stuff. BUT IT CAN KILL YOUR MICROBES! True, anything used without moderation can kill our microbes. And that's the key. Want to burn your plant.. dump a gang of anything n the soil.

"Hard water contains high levels of minerals like calcium and magnesium. These minerals can bind to other essential nutrients in the soil, making them unavailable to plants. Citric acid (a lot like Humic Acid) acts as a chelating agent, meaning it forms a bond with these hard water minerals, effectively tying them up and preventing them from interfering with nutrient uptake".

So I tried it yesterday. 1/8 teaspoon to a gallon of hard tap water. Saw that citric acid is great for fungi too. They seem to love it. Heard Jeff Lowenfels mentioning that. Probably the reason some flowering products add it.

Wow looking very green and healthy with a lot of pistils. At this stage of flower I also use citric acid (Big bud, has more goodies but it has citric acid too). I think they like it more at some stages than others but I dont know exactly why. I stoped using citric acid because I was having problems with the ph and I blamed it on citric acid because is short lived in the soil compared to other acids used to regulate ph like phosphoric or nitric acid. Its true that citric acid is a chelating agent and I think using citric acid is way safer in organic but I still dont use it to calibrate ph anymore (maybe if Im too lazy to grab the PH down, but not my go to). Also if youre in big pots seems to be less of a big deal the fact that it degrades quicker because of all the ph buffers.
Like you said, too much of anything will cause problems. And if we are talking about microorganisms, citric acid is milder than other acids used to regulate the soil ph and it goes easier on microorganisms.

I've been told that the Phosphorus is broken down by the fungi (maybe exclusively) and something to the effect that Phosphorus is more available if and when brewing compost teas that are more on the fungal side than the microbial. (There are compost teas recipes for that) Citric Acid feeds the fungi some how. I'm in the ball park with all this just can't say for sure how why when and where...lol, but we do know WHEN. And that's when they begin to flower. Cannabis heavily relys on Phosphorus and Potassium during the flowering stage.

Taking no chances, and in hindsight, should have just dropped more than I needed. We have one in a napkin (have never tried that method) and dropped one in water. Of course, when those two pop, the 2nd one will be too...πŸ˜‚ Just in case ...we need this to get going!

Everyone thought your tray and dome was a cassette tape!🀣

I realized after reading the top pic better it isn’t a vhs or vhs case!πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚

Looking top notch Bytch!🀩 absolutely love the use of the ladybugs!😍 I’m catching up on your thread. How are they doing now? Did they take care of your issue? : )

We popped in a couple 6 inch tent covers from AC Infinity. They filter (insects) and block light while leaving the vent wide open. From the outside you can see maybe 10% of the lighting (from the LED), so the verdict is still out if this counts as " blocking light". They have a black thin sponge like material to do double duty filtering. Triple? (Dust/insects/light) We cut about 12 inches of ducting that slide easily over the external cups of these tent covers. They thought of everything.

We then lollipoped some more, should be the final cut. This plant was not promising at the beginning. You'll notice my concerns when I was in early veg with this thing. But now, dam...she's gonna put on some WEIGHT. 4 Weeks this Saturday.
