Sorry you have to deal with them. I'll pick off the Japanese beetles during the day, but I don't go out after dark. ( yikes, I sound like an old person ) LOLYou were 100% correct on the the asian beetles being the culprits of demolishing our zinnias and peppers. Just beer flashlighted and those lil’ mofos are THICK !!! I gave a bunch of em a good headache with a precise flick to their forehead but they were flying in faster than I could flick emthese are reddish brown the other ones I was talking about were metallic green. Is neem or capt Jacks dead bug effective on em ??

Let us know if anything you use works. Right now, I still have the Japanese beetles but they prefer the Canna Lily leaves over anything else and they're easy to see on them to pick off twice or more times a day.
