You were 100% correct on the the asian beetles being the culprits of demolishing our zinnias and peppers. Just beer flashlighted and those lil’ mofos are THICK !!! I gave a bunch of em a good headache with a precise flick to their forehead but they were flying in faster than I could flick em 😂😂 these are reddish brown the other ones I was talking about were metallic green. Is neem or capt Jacks dead bug effective on em ??
Sorry you have to deal with them. I'll pick off the Japanese beetles during the day, but I don't go out after dark. ( yikes, I sound like an old person ) LOL

I found this info. searching the web. It's helpful but not hopeful. 🫤

And yes, there are many among us dealing with them.

I've never sprayed anything, but if you want to go organic I'd recommend products from Arbico Organics.

Let us know if anything you use works. Right now, I still have the Japanese beetles but they prefer the Canna Lily leaves over anything else and they're easy to see on them to pick off twice or more times a day.

Just found a map. They're heading west.

So, this Big Kahuna has been slow to show and during tonight's walk around I thought that flower looked kind of funny. LOL And indeed it did!

Looks like a Beaut! One of the prettiest I’ve ever laid eyes on! Lol!
Never tried it, but PlumberSoCal2 or crazy about them, so thought I'd give it a go.
Have ta say, that plant was the only purple out of 6. AND it had the most aphids I've ever seen on one pot plant.
The other green ones all 5 together had fewer than one purple. Interesting, no? But, it also had numerous lacewing eggs.

Aphids love GDP. I just sprayed in the greenhouse last evening🤣

Sounds like a bug zoo around your place !

Well, didn't need the combine, just a couple of shears and alot of alcohol. LOL
Took down all Autos except 5 Afghan I started 2 weeks after the rest.
Many of the harvested buds had signs of bud rot but I was able to trim it off, 'cause the weather has been hot and dry.

Now they're drying on the porch.
Top is Granddaddy Purple.
