Well, didn't need the combine, just a couple of shears and alot of alcohol. LOL
Took down all Autos except 5 Afghan I started 2 weeks after the rest.
Many of the harvested buds had signs of bud rot but I was able to trim it off, 'cause the weather has been hot and dry.

Now they're drying on the porch.
Top is Granddaddy Purple.

Doesn’t look like very many cookies worth!😂✌️

Yes, that is correct. The Autos always come through for me but it's not enough to sift this winter. I'll have to make butter or oil, then cookies.

Went out back yesterday and found another male, Beldia Mountain in with the Iranian. No pics, 'cause I didn't have my phone with me, was just gonna water... Anyways, good thing I looked, those flowers were about to pop!
I don't know about these regular seeds, breaks my heart everytime I take a plant down.

Have to feed them today, one of the Humboldt bags looks a little on the yellow/green side.
But boy has it been HOT here. (I can hear all you desert people chuckling, 'cause the highest we get is 90.
'Course the forcasters always talks 'feels like' temps. which drives me crazy. Just the temps please.

I swear, when I open the door and breathe in that 6AM moist morning air it reminds me of being a kid visiting my relatives in Charlotte the end of July. That damp organic sweet smell, with a little sharpness from the mildew. Love it. LOL

Free Strawberry Gorilla Auto seeds. I wasn't expecting much but she is so pretty.
I checked close with my loupe and the leaf/bud surface is purple and the trics are white/cloudy.
Have to take it and the afghans down tomorrow 'cause we're predicted rain for the next 5 days.

Well that Lebanese is doing just fine beside the greenhouse!!! Its all one giant bud 👊🏼
Ya, it reminds me of the plants last year that re-vegged and had buds everywhere.
But the description says it starts early and all of them did. I'm hoping they finish early too.
They don't have any resistance to septoria and the ones out back are starting to get eaten up. 🙁

Cpurola that is one beautiful bud 👀 oh gosh I'm getting nervous for both of us lol. I didn't really realize what chances I was taking by planting seeds that I knew nothing about... You mentioning septoria resistant... Makes me think it IS best to know ahead of time what problems could arise. Sheesh. Birthing pains!!! ;-)

Hey @Beazy I'm really bad at smells, but the Lebanese, I think, is real pungent, kind of like diesel smell. The strawberry/gorilla just smells like weed to me. LOL

@poozgrowz, my advice to you is learn all you can about diseases in your area if you grow outdoors. @Oldchucky has dry weather most of the grow season so he doesn't have to contend with the molds that crop up around me. Powdery mildew is another that is hard to discourage once it starts.

Lots of advice and experience here on the farm and it's gold. Find a successful grower with similar climate and pick their brain, you can get a collegiate level education if you want it. 😉

I was feeling bad about the ultra extras by the greenhouse being in such small pots so I drug out my 10 gallon fabric pots and put about 6 inches of potting soil and half a bag of worm castings into them. Then I stripped off the 5 gallon pots and set the root ball on top of the soil. Don't know if it will help anything 'cause they're into flowering and don't do much root growth after that, but, oh well. LOL
(sweated my ass off, but looked over and the next door neighbor kid is doing excercises with his buddy in the driveway. Sorry, I'm old school, chores and yard work are excercise enough. And don't have to pay a personal trainer. LOL)

They’re not doing very good !! But there are buds on all of them so at least we’ll have some flowers. Even the poor little skeletal ones have buds 😂😂😂 I haven’t tried spraying them with anything and really don’t have the time to go out n flick em every day so I guess it is what it is. The Wife and I went to the post office the other day and passed a house that had a HUUUUGE patch of them and they were flourishing. Might have to try those traps next year.

OR, you could plant some canna lilies as a trap crop. LOL
My poor canna leaves are so chewed up, but the bugs are leaving the zinnias alone.
So that the goldfinches can tear them up looking for seeds. LOL
The battle never ends.

I’m going to have to figure something out for next year because my wife is gutted by it !! She was sooo excited when all those hundreds of seedlings popped up only to be munched by the rabbits and then the second round munched by these damn beetles. I’ll net them if I have to 😂😂
