So yeah, this is what 10 gallons @ $389 in racing fuel looks like.
So to have 5 gallons moved hazmat style, $87 per five gallons right now.
So the post and fedex both have literally exploded their fees for delivery. And everything takes 3-5 days longer
Totally normal.
It was $29 per 5 gallons a year and a half ago.
What In The actual fuck.
We now pay more taxes than we spend on food and clothes per person.
Not really digging it all told.

Some non alcoholic racing fuels supposedly last up to two yrs after opening with proper storage. I'm curious how much @Captspaulding burns through in a season? I claim ignorance, that's why I'm asking

See that’s part of the thing that just fucked up my fuel system was me trying out a different fuel that had a higher solvent concentrate that ended up really tearing up my fuel lines, my regulator and my fuel pump respectively I had to take apart my carburetor and rebuild the fuck out of it and clean it like crazy That being said that was 90% my fault
Also, I’m generally a points chaser dude I run a lot of bracket racing and shit and when NHRA season is going strong the stickers that are on my car are there for a reason and I’ve run their products so if and when I win a weekend, I get bonuses. I’m not sponsored by them, but they pay out more money if you use their products and then represent them with stickers on the car they very seldomly get switched out And I very seldom stray from what my engines built to do because that little Pontiac 400 that I got there. I call it the little engine that could but it’s built very specifically and the Pistons are micrometer in meaning that the specific ratios that I run in that motor are basically custom tailored to be maximized by running VPC 12.
And it’s a bitch dude because my engine builder passed away two years ago and I still have another Pontiac block, but I have a feeling that if I hang a rod out of the bottom of this bitch at some point in a time which it’s inevitable me making a switch to ls because the motor that’s in the car has gotten a clean bill of health every time I go to have it rebuilt and refreshed But it’s been beat on dude. Granted I only ever really try to run it at about 60% in order to prolong its shelf life and I run a sump with that pushes two extra quarts of oil into the motor before I even start it so the top ends good and lubed. It really helps save the motor
But with the way that my motor is built, dude every single component is there for a reason and I just don’t like fucking with the secret sauce you know because I know with confidence that if something goes wrong in a run that it was my fucking fault and I did something stupid so I don’t like changing shit because man the last time I did, I ended up fucking pickling in the car

At the end of the season, probably 20 cans, but I grudge race sometimes too
So that eats up a little bit here and there.

And they can last up to two years for sure even longer, even if you don’t keep them super cool and then dry places and as long as you don’t have like 3/4 of the 5 gallon bucket or the 55 gallon drum drained and then stored, too much air can is the killer. you’re in good shape, but a lot of the time you can take some of that older fuel and just cut it into some newer fuel and it it runs just as good. You just gotta reinvigorated a little bit Because unfortunately VP doesn’t make a stabilizer for storage for that.
