@Itscheese94 I still got that same bluecheese going. The great-great-grand baby bluecheese is now a mother herself 🤣

She's in the back left corner of the "Blues Mothers" tent. She's next to @Captspaulding blue dream and that's a cali-blues up front. In the cloner i have 2 cali-blues and blue dream cuts. All of your strains shoot roots like crazy. And fast....

Chucky, I think I told you a while back that i was going to try and grow a watermelon in the rafters... almost there.

Some lessons learned:

Put some padding under your cloner box. These things are quiet while you're next to it, but if it's above you that low mechanical rumbling gets loud.
I put foam under the tub and the air pump. Just to reduce vibration. It helps a lot.

Also, I tend to follow the standard clone process:
1) snip 45degree angle beneath the node.
2) rough it up a bit.
3) trim the big fan leaves and lower nodes.
4) slap it in your medium of choice.

But I wanted to test some variables with the DIY cloner. I usually use plain tap water and no hormones, and run the sprayer 24/7.

I feel the rooting hormone gets washed off immediately in a aeroponic cloner... šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø so why waste it?
This time I stuck one of the Cali-blues cuts in the rooting hormone and then in a plug. I thought.. "maybe this will keep that stinkin' purple ooze on my plant." Trying to pull some ninja turtle moves and figure out the secrets of this ooze:

I also didn't cut back as much... because I thought... that felt like a waste too.

It seems like it worked. The plug had tons more roots, in the same (about 12 days) time.

Lots of branches on this one, but a few less roots:

Nice healthy plants bro. Aero cloners work, no doubt. But I completely agree with rooting in cubes.
Nice work

Thanks, Jadin! I appreciate that.

Definitely makes me want to try putting 2 clones in cubes, and just running them like that. Leave them in the box and take a stab at hydro. Gotta do some serious thinking/planning first though.

Some more updates from one of my Durban Poisons out in the wild.

@Captspaulding the Bruce Banner is back with a vengeance. Loves the weather in these parts. Damn, she is resilient and resistant. Top outdoor performer last year and looking like she will be again.

I shall be following along for sure.

I've got at least another month like you for three of mine outside but luckily not so wet down here in the SoCal.
I appreciate that lenhug!

I'll try and push em as far as mother nature will let me. You guys definitely have a little longer of a growing season than us in the north east 🤣. Been lucky so far. Most of our rain has been early morning and with enough sun to dry them up nicely.

We had a lot of rain and thunder last night. One of the outdoor spots the plants were moved under for most of it, and brought back out this afternoon. Not easy, but there is a lot of airflow down here. Most pots are 10-15 g and Big Bruce is in a 20g.
