🤪 vivosun includes two anti-flowback valves in the $40 kit with 8 distributors. I saw that....but that isn't the same as anti-siphon. ...is it?

Never judge a smoke when it's the first of the day unless you can't manage a second one.

Well I'm on number two and I'm glad I didn't let the sherbet mature any longer because it is quite heavy in the body stoned department and my brain has been on 1000 all day.

I just told my partner I feel like I have eight tentacles and a superior neural network 🐙

I smoked some of my Malawi....its been dry....aged a bit. Rolled me a nice fatty... took a few hits off of it yesterday. Within 10 minutes I was solving all the world problems inside my head...🤣😂🤣🤣

I always stick them out back man. By the time I see that they are actual male flower. There’s enough of a window for me to be able to get a pollen dump to harvest some of it before it starts to revert back to veg because the days are still kind long of here
But the ones that start the mutate back into vegetative, I’ll go ahead and stick those by people that I hate🤭
We are friends right...🤣😂

That fucking Wahoo was great.....the Halibut we caught in Washington State is unbelievably delicious.....now i got to get my tuna.

It's been a good 10 years now that it's been difficult to find Ono/Wahoo anywhere. Used to get a seared Ono at my favorite sushi joint, dude said he took it off the menu because the markets were constantly trying to push something else off as Ono. I love the stuff, reminds me of a fish version of filet mignon.

But Ono or Halibut? No contest. Hook me up with some of that Halibut cheek!

You are correct - They are two different beasts. Anti-back flow is just a check valve. Anti-siphon allows air in to break the siphon like this:

How it works (two states)

Pressurized/flowing normally: Supply pressure pushes a spring/diaphragm/poppet that seals the air inlet. Water goes downstream; no air gets in.

Pressure drops or reverses (siphon risk): Upstream pressure falls below atmospheric → the poppet uncovers an air port. Air rushes in, collapsing the vacuum so water can’t be sucked backward. (Any dribble dumps to atmosphere instead of into your supply.) 🤓👍

Wouldn't it have to be? Can't siphon without flowback...
They work in two different directions. check valve prevents back-flow into your reservoir, anti-siphon stops flow in the other direction (towards your plants)

We each brought home 20 pounds of Halibut and about the same of Cod. Halibut was going for $34 a pound her in Ohio.....I paid over $60 a pound for mine....🤣😂🤣😂.....but got the expierience.

That's the way I was looking at it....backlog is coming back....siphon drains my fucking bucket....

I was going to have a 35 gallon resovoir....thank god I went with the 5 gallon 😅

Yes great why wouldn't I have to buy something to make the thing I buy work without destroying the tent.

A lil hair of the cat that scratched me 😉
Bob Barker meow, it’s what’s for dinner.

Naw, just kidding hopefully I get some food for dinner but this will make it taste better.

An anti-siphon valve would be placed where red circle is. Without it,
when pump shuts off, it will still siphon and drain res down to level
of hose outlet, flooding you out. If hose outlet is @ or below the
level of the pump, a siphon would drain the whole barrel.

Here's a simple fool proof hack for anti-siphon:

Put an 1/8" barbed 90 in the hose,
just above max water, pointed down,
While pump is on, it will spray a jet
straight down, helping to oxygenate
the res.

When the pump shuts off, o2 will
be drawn in, instantly breaking the
siphon... easy-peachy🍑

This is better than an anti-siphon
valve imo, bc there are no springs
or diaphragms to go bad. With the
added benefit of oxygenating
your res.✌️👍

Afterthought: To automate, you
could put a float valve with h2o
supply hooked up. With auto
nutrient and ph meters & injectors,
you could easily control it from
afar. Prepare to spend some $$$
though.
