like many stated,

waste of light and electricity, you could produce much more weed with that amount of lamp.

plant look sick with lot of abnormal growth, dwarf leaves, reveg symptom with some tops, also lot of abnormal leaves coloration with both some burn and deficiencies.
Buds and colas aren't really appealing at all to the eyes. An doesn't look especially big or anything.

but if you're happy with it then cool for you ...

And I will follow up on that.
We don't want to doxx you. We just like sciences and plants.
See I truly claim to know very little. I know enormous amount of trivia. I see webs of shit. Sometimes things crystallize. I have no idea why and I am not interested in finding out typically.

Until someone posts something like that. That makes me go deep for a bit and then go. Nope, not my math. That's okay. It's still awesome.
I'll go back to Jurassic Park, Crichton really because it's in other books, Thintelligence is vast pools of data with little inter-relationship. Trivia and quiz lovers for example. The meat, the sex, of an idea is the relationships and application with other data. We can start with the Thintelligence and find a logical end. Then analyze and built the real meat and potatoes.

I'm in Washington state. Please do whatever you can to tell me. Whatever is closest to my area of Seattle or 2 hours either direction and I'll drive it there.

I'm actually 2 hours closer to the ocean so if you can get it that direction or South that would be better. But I'll drive past Seattle another 2 hours for this one.

I'll take pictures of the handover. You'll be sure.

We'll take people and thought out. WE can do numbers.
THIS IS AI: I fed it the lab names and shit and asked it to make it readable, the info is me.

Yep—there are legit labs you can use. Since you’re in NY, the cleanest path is in-state drop-off at a permitted cannabis lab:

  • MCR Labs New York (Utica). They publish consumer-friendly services and list typical test menus (potency, terpenes, safety). Call and ask for an R&D/potency-only submission as a private individual. Address/phone are on their NY site. New York+1
  • Kaycha Labs New York (Albany). Big multi-state operator with an NY lab. They mainly serve licensees but sometimes take R&D/non-compliance jobs—ask if they’ll accept a personal sample. kaychalabs.com+1
  • NY’s Office of Cannabis Management keeps the umbrella rules for labs and sampling firms if you want to double-check who’s permitted. Office of Cannabis Management+1

How to do it (no drama)

  1. Call first. Say you’re an adult home-grower; ask if they accept R&D potency from individuals (no compliance COA needed).
  2. Bring enough sample. Labs typically need about 0.7–1.5 g of homogenized flower for a cannabinoid profile (varies by lab/menu). Example MCR pages show ~0.7–1.5 g for flower, depending on test. MaineMassachusetts
  3. Decide your panel. Cheapest/fastest is cannabinoid potency; add terpenes if you care about profile. (MCR lists terpene sample amounts for NY.) New York
  4. Hand-deliver (or lab-approved in-state courier). Do not mail cannabis through USPS; non-hemp cannabis is nonmailable under federal postal rules. Postal Explorer+1

Extras you might want

  • Pathogen check by mail (leaves only): If you suspect Hop Latent Viroid, SC Labs accepts leaf mail-ins from any state. That’s plant health—not potency—but useful. SC Labs+1
Cool.

Youcan do the numbers when we tighten the airflow for a row of plants and you can do the numbers when we do the calculations for the light density on distribution for the wind tunnel.

I know this light is way way too much. I want to find the balance bud I'll never find the real balance. I can't do the math.

I would do it by binary search. I guess the endpoints and I would do tests in the middles. I would see which one's better and I would alter in the direction of the better direction. It would be many cycles of painful random testing just based on my gut feel.

That worked with computers cuz they're so goddamn fast. That doesn't work with plants. Unless you have a lot of time. That works with car diagnostics though. Pick endpoints and start guessing in between. Sooner or later you'll find the broken piece.

You can do the real math. I welcome you to do that if the lab tests come back good.

I have read all the Michael Crichton that was written up into the point I was about 30. Saw a few of the movies.

I picked up an iguana the day before and I was watching Outbreak. Those were the days we went to movies. Yes, this was in a packed movie theater.

My brother, the dead one, and he slapped me on the shoulder and coughed really hard into the audience at whatever critical moment and yelled something about me just picking up a wild animal yesterday.

Robbie could take a part in the engine. Robbie could program a computer. Robbie could play any musical instrument you could possibly imagine. Robbie could create perfect architectural drawings by hand. Robbie could rebuild his house. Robbie taught himself to repel off the side of his house so he could clear an ice dam but the sporting sports store would not sell him the gear because they said it was too dangerous. He lived in Jim Thorpe, PA. He was a wild mountain Man. He said fuck you. I got an ice damn and it's going to destroy my roof. Three stories up. He went to the climbing gym and he went through whatever it took and by the end of the day he had an instructor's certificate. He went back to the store and bought his gear after showing the instructors certificate and showing them a few knots in whatever ropes and proving the terminology. Robbie taught me to repel face first down off the climbing gym wall after we hung our own ropes because God damn it. We don't wait in line . Robbie rented motorbikes and we had a blast. Robbie took me to concerts and taught me music. Not to play, I can't play. Robbie's a master and Robbie could teach me to appreciate.

Robbie would have liked this plant but he would have had to look with a magnifying glass because he was legally blind for the last 20 years. Spinal pressure crushed his optic nerve and destroyed his ability to see. Was a nauseous kaleidoscope. Open your eyes and get confused and puke. That was Robbie's life for the final 20 years.

He ran the radio club for the local group. He taught classes at the Franklin institute. He ran the radio room at the Franklin institute and gave tours. He held the overnights.

He adopted neighbors in need. Had a series of his own charities going. Individual people of ages let's say 15 to 25 would get advice and money. None of them knew about each other and they were all were accessible successful based on Robbie's influence. They met at his funeral.. No one knew about any of the others.

So Rob coughed in that movie theater rather loudly. Robbie's got a lot of shit going. Was just one little slice of his moment of life. Enjoying kicking back with his little brother who was doing okay with his own house and had an iguana.

Robbie would have liked this plant.

I'd run the math past Rob.

I'm married to Robbie's wife's little sister. Best decision of my life.

That iguana was the largest one the vet ever saw. The healthiest one the vet ever saw. No metabolic bone disease there. I picked it up off of Craigslist. I interviewed five vets before I took it to the vet I would trust.

I had someone build a telephone booth size cage for it with a plexiglass top. I wouldn't dare do it in those days.

I took a job that involved commuting and I started leaving home early and coming back way too late. Simple as that. Too many hours at the office. I hadn't been allowed to put in the telecommuting yet. That was a couple years away.

The iguana shared a room with the computer. The wife wanted to be on the computer on AOL. The wrong wife.

The iguana got out and climbed some shelves and that's what they do there. You like their trees and it hovers by the door and you walk through the door and you have a really big fucking iguana drop on your head and that tail lashes around in the claws splay around and you've got a ripped up wife.

No salmonella. I had already done the salmonella treatments. I used to take that thing to schools. Yes, I was one of the people who took their big fucking iguana, and a red tail boa constructor, to schools and visit classes. And they were both treated for salmonella and tested fine.

Okay so now I have a ripped up bleeding wife who calls me screaming and I say I'm an hour away call. My buddy Bill and Bill came over and saved the day and locked up the iguana and patch the wife and that was the countdown. That iguana had to go.

I had a vet in Maryland meet me halfway for the transfer. They built a hell of a enclosure in their mansion under their stairs and sent me pictures. Iggy had a hell of a life.

It took me another 15 years to get rid of the wife. The wrong one.

So yeah, I know Crichton. I know wild animals.

Take care

In terms of total heat energy, a true 600W LED and a 600W HPS will both ultimately produce roughly the same amount of heat in the room if you run them long enough in a closed system with no ventilation.
Your assertion that E = E is accurate, of course, but is not useful.

A problem with your example case is that it is not a real-world scenario. A space used for growing plants (such as a tent) is not "a closed system with no ventilation." More importantly, the lights you cite as "a true 600W LED and a 600W HPS" are not interchangeable. Thus, it is a classic "apples and oranges" comparison. That false equivalency creates a fallacy in your logic.

The farmer's main concerns should be the quantity and quality of the light produced. So, a more useful comparison would be to begin with lights that produce equivalent photosynthetically active radiation. (For example, a 600W LED with a 1000W HPS.) Equivalent light generation creates a more useful basis for comparison of related factors, such as the total electrical energy consumption, including the energy required to remove waste heat.

Still waiting for them to put a 600w in 250 cubic foot of air and show me the temperature increase after one minute for the entire volume of it!

Because that's what my grow tent is a minute 250 cubic foot of air rushing through and apparently a hps will heat that entire volume to stress levels and an led won't.... Lolol

Seriously if this works I'm heating my house with a tenth of the energy last winter took lolol....

You know you can use AI for the shit that's a step ahead but you at least know enough to fact check. Ask it to design air flow. Ask it why it did that. Ask it for the math. Use a calculator and google.
We stand on the shoulders of GIANTS, why the hell do we choose to observe the lay of the land from only the ground? Don't get all fucking mad at AI, when AI fucks up it's probably something out did and finding out why is also of great value.

No. I agree. I stand on the shoulders of giants. I am a fucking midget.

But AI is bullshit right now. I am not arguing it's it's brilliant ability. The problem is I can't double-check it.

I have some serious thoughts on dealing with AI that I have not posted here. This is not the place. But the bottom line is, no.

I cannot trust it.

So do I pull it out again? I'm always thinking that. Damage the current stuff, make more new stuff.

Shake it till nothings more comes of my vote...
You don't get a vote. You're screaming at the door. You've proved yourself to be an antagonistic asshole. You want to see whatever I do fail. No voting for you. You get to watch from the side. Sooner or later. I'll close this off and you'll disappear. You don't matter. You never did

You're an idiot on the side. You're a useful tool. I'll push you and I'll annoy you and you'll post and I'll get both views out of it. You're a moron. You're an idiot. You're the best type of person that I can push.

Hopefully you'll find some typos out of this to argue with.

I don't know if I talked about it. It's time to pull the plug. But I think it's time to pull the plug. Fucking morons need to be discarded. Is it time to take this private?

I will let people see my frustration. I will want them to be aware of the shit that's going on. There's lots of it. I don't need to be distracted by assholes. Do I keep on going or do I close this off? Do I take it 100% private. I don't give a shit if people actually learn from what I'm doing. I've learned, people are mostly assholes. Do I want to give away what I've learned?

The old I'll push you speech because you didn't understand some science on light and wind....

Info is free on this site not sure why anyone feels the need to push for it.

But in other news I got a message saying the magic mushrooms or liberty caps if American (is that right) are now about, now I just need to motivate myself to walk twenty miles in random patterns across our local hills and meadows with a carrier bag and old man stick, this is going to hurt my back a lot lol

Hey Testtime, I hear your frustration, and you’ve every right to let it out. Pioneering anything attracts noise, and not always the kind of attention that fuels you. I get that feeling of “why bother sharing if people just act like assholes?”

But here’s the thing: what you’re doing does matter, whether people see it now or five years from now. You’ve already proven to yourself that it works, that alone is huge. Sharing it isn’t about giving away your secrets to ungrateful strangers; it’s about planting seeds for the few who will actually get it, who will build on it, and maybe even surprise you with what they add.

If you go 100% private, you’ll have peace of mind, sure, but the ripple stops with you. If you keep sharing, even selectively, you’re forcing the idea into the wild. And once it’s out there, no amount of noise can put it back in the box. That’s disruptive power.

At the end of the day, it’s not about “giving it away”, it’s about deciding the terms of how you share. You could keep some detail close, or just share results, or even document privately now and release later. But don’t let the assholes convince you that your work has no value beyond yourself. It does.

Whatever you decide, I respect it. Just don’t let frustration be the thing that silences you.
