Getting a little spooked lately, with all the purple leaves dying back from the cold snap we had a bit back, only to do it again a couple nights ago.

Kinda worried that I'm gonna loose most of my leaves before she can finish. My maple tree, and other trees in the neighborhood are turning and dropping, too. So maybe it's just me.

Definitely not a disease, or bug interaction, it's more of what I'd expect a a plant coming to its end of cycle, by eating any reserves. But it's early September...!! Unless this is a fast flowing, strain.....that I don't know.

I'm seeing a lot of u other guys up north have leaves changing, too. So that's a relief for me, as well.

A few pics

The California Orange has had only one yellow leaf in it all year.

So I'll let her ride, she was destined to die, anyhow. Too close to the end to change anything, IMO
Looks like normal progression to me, accelerated by cold temperatures at night. I have one plant doing the same.

I’m just wondering if taking the skirts off of my photos would be a good thing to do now? It may help the roots stay warmer??
I agree with bear! For once! L O L! The hot weather is over!👍 or maybe remove every other one! See if you can notice a difference! Probably won’t be much other than the pot drying out faster! Which in my opinion is never a bad thing!😀

The UV won’t make it any easier to find the caterpillars themselves! But it puts you onto their damage so you can start cutting it out! Flashlights or sunlight to find the cats themselves! In my experience!
