I've been thinking about landrace strains and getting back to basics.Just my opinion
When they started breeding to be able to grow a sativa anywhere in America, that was OK but then then they bred everything out of it and made it smell like chocolate cake and pretty much messed up the genetics to wear. It’s not as stable as it used to be.
Now no one has a clue wtf were growing
With the new stuff
They’re beasts lots of bird seed for the winterThe sunflower patch is really nice
not yet please I would like to make it to October 18 longer is ok tooCan feel it changing here! We’re starting to get the cooler nights : ) WINTER IS NEAR!![]()

I love your birds eye shots! I'll miss them.
We grow the Black Oil Sunflower for our rabbits. In the winter we grow fodder trays for them and in the summer we harvest seeds for them. My pregnant does love them and it boosts their fatty acid intake during lactating. They’re beasts lots of bird seed for the winter

Good to know. I'm batting 70/30 on their auto seeds I bought. But that's on me, not them. I am going to do these, a few Freaks and this skunk stuff next year if it ends up worth a crap. Both my Panama reds are from @Zamnesia seeds very impressed with what I have most my back yard is them![]()
The little one is a couple weeks behind everything else. Got chewed up by a bug before it even broke the seed shell off. Then popped the shell off and got chewed up again. Was basically a stem at that point and I thought she was a goner. Then it's like she hit reset, sprouted a couple new sets of 3 finger leaves and finally started going. Just started flowering less than a week ago so she'll be as big as her sisters when she's full grown. That one little one back in the back reminds of Charlie Brown's Christmas tree. Everything else looks tall with lots of buds!
I've become a firm believer in bud washing at harvest for outdoor grows.Folks with caterpillar poo on their buds, are you guys spraying it off? Just a wash with the hose water? : ) thank you!![]()
Definitely going to do a nice rinse upon chop before the hang : ) i cant believe the amount of crap from the trees! I mean i can, it was very apparent that was going to happen. It’s more me hating that its happening! Hahaha!I've become a firm believer in bud washing at harvest for outdoor grows.
They are just eating additional nutrients. You’re fine. They will end up perfectly!Getting a little spooked lately, with all the purple leaves dying back from the cold snap we had a bit back, only to do it again a couple nights ago.
Kinda worried that I'm gonna loose most of my leaves before she can finish. My maple tree, and other trees in the neighborhood are turning and dropping, too. So maybe it's just me.
Definitely not a disease, or bug interaction, it's more of what I'd expect a a plant coming to its end of cycle, by eating any reserves. But it's early September...!! Unless this is a fast flowing, strain.....that I don't know.
I'm seeing a lot of u other guys up north have leaves changing, too. So that's a relief for me, as well.
A few pics

So I'll let her ride, she was destined to die, anyhow. Too close to the end to change anything, IMO
