Sounds about right. Usually wait till the plant is tucking/retracting it's stigma back into bracts, the plant is milky all over with about 30-40% amber.I would say once you're 40% Amber, I would cut and hang. Then you will get your 80%

i reckon retracting stigma is usually a good sign. If the plant has decided it's no longer viable far pollination it's not far off.
Have never tried that tbh but it makes sense. I usually do the old "let her dry out in the pot for a few days" and then hang.12/12 fer 48 hrs after cut. It's very very important
