So does that mean the experiment plant is still growing now and packing on weight? Or did you wrap things up?
Holy shit. It's packing on weight.
Now I'm not touching it, but I'm letting it grow. About three of the branches have converted to what I would consider really thick worms. They're still pushing hard but they're indicative of what I expect from the rest of the branches.
Sooner or later, the faces have to join and complete the final bud formation of any group of faces. But that's just the beginning of point of actual Bud creation. After that point, the next level of thickening happens.
Internally there are thousands of tendrils that haven't exited that are hitting other blocks, and at that point, the rest of that consolidates and thickens and turns into its own bud of everything else that it's touching at that moment.
And when I say thousands, I mean per Branch.
I think of this as mushroom media consolidation. I spent a couple of months looking at this thing and touching it and damaging it again and again with the goal of spreading it out as much as possible. I think I hit that so I stopped.
So now it's consolidating and then it will fruit. It's just consolidating now. The fruiting is when all those other Bud faces that you see actually touch something else or I say screw it that one's not going to do it. So I'll kill that Branch or I'll pull that bud. But when I say that particular tendril, I'm talking one out of hundreds of thousands. Who gives a shit.
I have no idea how to describe the growth, because it's far beyond exponential. Maybe you math geniuses can put a term on it. I don't care. I just know it's fucking ginormous and is continuing on its Murray way and I'm going to try to do a bunch of them at the same time in a hydroponics Tower next.
It will be as clean as possible, the room will be near sterile, the water will have UV exposure continuously, and I don't know what the fuck I'm doing at all. So I'm going to throw whatever minimal shit I can at it, not chaos. I understand I'm tuning now. First, I found the goal and now I have to simplify everything in the world until that goal is achieved with was with as few variables as possible.
Yes, I'd like to do organic and more variety of dirt. But I'm not going to. I'm going to go hardcore hydroponics and learn some more and play some more.
When I'm done, my goal is to have a tower that has four to eight of these in it. They should be closely reachable by a person at whatever height they're standing or sitting. The hydroponic drain pool should be directly underneath to save space. A person should stand up on a platform.
I assume I'll have a bunch of different cultivars. I can do this to anything as far as I'm concerned. Can I? Who the fuck knows. But I have to try.
So I'll germinate a half a dozen seeds and take clones from them so I can treat clones differently and see if there's different results and I'm trying to figure out if I can do it with less than mushroom light levels.
At that point I'll commercialize and crush the industry. It'll be vape extracts. They don't give a shit about flavor or anything else because it gets extracted then reconfigured with the
terpenes added back in. But they don't give a shit if it's real
terpenes or if they just flavor it with something else. I'll let the real scientists figure out the correct points of harvest and or manipulation.
So if I have a couple of 300 w pond pumps to handle the failover for when something fails, because something always fails, and a dozen 45 w independent aerators with huge micro discs, I figure I could put eight towers* two for a total of 16 towers times. Six plants a piece equals 96 plants in a tight room. A tiny easily controlled, easily lit and kept clean and handled room.
Yes, I'm sure I could handle that room. Or I could hand it off to someone else. Either way, yeah this is an easy one.
Take care
