Started cleaning up the bottoms. Not
going to do a full lollipop, but I want
unimpeded airflow underneath of these
girls.

These get strong airflow directly on
them and underneath with 4 - 6" clip-
ons. A small ceramic heater will be on
during dark to try and lower nighttime
rh.

Funny how well these grow when I'm
doing everything wrong: Too hot, res
too warm, vpd way too high, rh too
high/low, light pwr too high, lights
too close, too much wind on plants,
pots too small, continuous feed
during lights on, pin holes in tent, DLI
too something.... No, I'm not worried
that the temp/rh probes aren't
shaded; as long as it's between 70 &
100f, I'm good with it. No early topping,
training, or torture - np. And I'm sure
there's other things that I do wrong as
well....

Point being; is that they are weeds
and can readily adapt to many
different environments and growing
methods and I think that stressing
too much over it is pointless. If these
would have grown any better &
without the early problems, the big
cali's would be through the ceiling
by now, with this much veg time.
When I grow from clones, they'll be
flipped after 5-7 days veg on the
slabs and will still grow to the lights.

I am still worried that the small
pot size is going to end up screwing
me before the end of this cycle...

I just have fun with it. The more
fun I have, the better they seem to
do. 👊😎

edit: Those are fungus gnats on the
sticky traps. I have mosquito dunks
in the reservoir, plus I've sprayed
capt jacks. I don't know what else to
do. No such problems with rockwool.

I think about this all the time. Now that I have an environmental controller it makes me realize how good of weed I was growing in an “imperfect “ environment.

That whole vpd shit is a scam so sell controllers I think. lol people growing twigs four inches tall going on and on about vpd lol. Think about a plant outside and the swings they go through.

If anything I would say vpd is about the last thing to get dialed in when you’ve run out of things that matter lmao . As long as my plants stayed under 90 degrees and 65% humidity I let them rock

Clearly the way you’re growing is working lol anyone that’s got anything to say I guarantee doesn’t get growth like that in 4-5 weeks lol

Let's not just think about the swings that outdoor plants go through.
Let's have a weather station outside your house that has YEARS of trace in files.
The " swings " you think about are as quick as a cruise ship doing a 4 point turn. Wild swings in growing environment is an inside thing. The atmosphere is much to large to kick humidity up and down at a high rate. Yes you do get a humidity peak when it rains and it stays around but the plant can and will adapt to long term changes in environment. What it does not like is fast changes in humidity that can effect transperation.
Also half of those guys tracking vdp with a " spot on " 1.2 vdp have a rolling vdp that can go from 1.0 to 1.4 multiple times in a hour. This is the same thing that happens when you give an untrained technician a scan tool and tell him to go forth and fix shit with his fancy new tool and no training.

Do not put down a tool, and that's what these things are, without understanding how to use the tool.

Now that that's out of the way do nutrient lines that want you to buy 9 bottles......

Exactly my point

I've personally watched a foggy morning with 95% humidity drop down to single digit in a span of about 45 minutes. What happens is winds push air with almost no moisture from the desert toward the ocean. They're called the Santa Ana Winds. It's also accompanied by a high pressure weather condition and the wind velocity creates friction that warms the air. We are getting one of those now. It's only 8:30 and already 80 degrees and supposed to go up to 89. They're a lot slower leaving, but I've seen RH climb back up high as the winds shift but it's about a 3-4 hour turnaround.

The reason outdoor plants can handle it is they're hardened to it. Want a strong plant for your tent, start her outdoors, just watch out for the bugs you drag in. Since I'm growing outdoors, I pop my seeds outdoors. I wasn't, and it didn't take me long to realize I was making them pussies starting them in a clone box. They may not grow as quick as a pampered seedling, but they're simultaneously hardening up, and that's worth waiting for.

Look at all the fall colors

Tent looks empty with a few 1 gal dwc getting changed.

Idk if they needed it. 😆

Idk how long its been that high.
The others where at a "near perfect ph" 7.iykyk
Which never seems to bothers them.

Hopefully its another 6 or so top offs before they get chopped off.
