I ran living soil right up until I killed it. I can personally attest to that statement. Basically the second I cut back my cover crop and allowed a dry period in between watering, the living part was seriously diminished. I also never introduced any earthworms or beneficial insects in any of my pots. The main reason I stopped running living soil was because of pot size. I ran 4 seven gallon pots in a 3x3 tent and one 15 gallon pot in a 2x2 tent. Space was always the issue. The pots were grassroots fabric pots, which have a sewn in plastic liner that runs 3/4’s the height of the pot. That helps with moisture retention.

Man I have gotten 3 runs out of that bas 3.0 with no cover crop just ec but this round it was dead. I did the reamend thing and botched it added some peet moss and it wouldn’t get wet then when it did it wouldn’t dry. It was too expensive and when I finally decided to bite the bullet they were out of bags and I only buy a pallet lol. So I’m using the ocean forest now. Shit stinks like shit, probably because it’s made of bat shit and worm shit.

Wife had appendicitis. Apparently it burst 7-10 days ago. She's having a stent put in to drain the shit.

And my new phone (2 1/2months old) died so I'm on my wife's phone.

Crazy day. I don't even have any memes.

Wow glad she is getting treatment. Pretty tough woman to go 7-10 days with a burst appendix .

It’s in this thread somewhere they were in used soil that wasn’t remended and they would get green and then just yellow in a solo cup. There was pretty much the rocks. The plants were actually seeming to like my attempt but I didn’t because it was still wet a week later.

So here’s where I take them the used soil it hasn’t been amended

I can’t say the soil was a total failure they took quite well to it but it’s slimy and just too wet I have another bag .

I think about this all the time. Now that I have an environmental controller it makes me realize how good of weed I was growing in an “imperfect “ environment.

That whole vpd shit is a scam so sell controllers I think. lol people growing twigs four inches tall going on and on about vpd lol. Think about a plant outside and the swings they go through.

If anything I would say vpd is about the last thing to get dialed in when you’ve run out of things that matter lmao . As long as my plants stayed under 90 degrees and 65% humidity I let them rock

But at those numbers your at or above 1.4 meaning your plants are sucking nutes like crazy soo you are a vpd guy haha.you just dont beleve 1.2 is best.

There is a point when vpd is soo high plant starts exploding feom the inside out its called guttation or something like that.then you have a problem.it looks like blisters on leafs

On a sprout.
Nobody exploded everybody made it into a cure jar.

Yea the thing is you have same nutes in the dirt but different amount eaten.more vpd eats faster soo you should have less nutes.just my opinion
