First of all sir, welcome. You have found the right place to learn. Ive been around about a year....my game has been quadrupled or more. My first plant was less than 1/8 of an ounce....my largest so far is 17 ounces....yes....unbelievable.
This is my exhaust setup....first pic.
As for lighting.....I use 18/6 for seedling and veg....12/12 for flower. There are heads on the forum that do different lighting. You will find out that we all try different things....just to see if you can get an edge....its like my son....he's a chef....he told me all food has been done....everyone trys to do food with a flare....ie: sushi taco...

Totally new to growing.
I bought a tent with full kit for my first time. I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm gonna give it a try.
I know that my soil should be kept below a 7 pH and the water should be between 6.0-6.7 pH during veg grow stage and not quite sure for flowering stage if these need be tweaked at all?
Lighting is pretty straight forward.... Twenty hours at seedling stage of bright white-blue lighting and four hours of darfness. And at vegetative stages use 18 hrs on and 6 off. Then during flowing stage use 14 on and ten off, full spectrum.
But I'm really not sure about any of it.
I'm at bat and the pitcher is winding up and I'm gonna swing but hope for the best because I really don't know what I'm doing-
Like, what this ventilation about? I kinda hooked it up but I'm not sure if I've done it right so I haven't used it yet.
I'll add a couple photos of my setup and maybe someone will tell me what I'm doing wrong or what's right?.
I envy y'all with these absolutely stunning plants. Definitely should be proud of yourselves for growing A+ plus tree! Fantastic job fellas!

all i can say is give it hell........... there are so many here at thcfarmer that can aid in any aspect of the grow............... looks like your starting with some fine gear. the only thing i understand that may depart from your approach might be the flowering cycle, much of what i've seen suggests a 12 hr light/dark cycle but i would imagine there could be exceptions............ you gotta check out the frostiest flowers thread............. one stunning pic after another......... Pure Bud Heaven...

ironically the first grow i did since growing 30 years ago was my finest hour, man how things have changed. haven't had a truly outstanding grow yet, although i have produced some fine bud with some of the plants it's nothing like grow 1 which was nice healthy vigorous green heaven. i am very pleased with the stuff that was notable but i gotta really rethink what i'm doing. until i can consistently reproduce results equivalent to the first grow here i to some degree am failing................

i would say it's such an awesome feeling smoking some super sweet personally produced bud, even if not all the plants or in massive abundance, it is something that always brings the greatest of smiles to my face. Gotta Love It..................

Nooo man, I told you, this bud is not even mine, I just saw a pink bud that looks fire and set it as my profile picture and now I wanna grow a few pink strains hahaha. I like how your buds look, the only thing making it harsh sometimes might be the fact that the buds yellowed a bit but it looks very nice and I saw it packaged in your private message and its apeticing

i would say that grow 4 was probably the best overall as all the plants did produce decent bud, well all but that oregon grape turd that turned male .

the #2 and #3 buds are nice chunked out darlings, i gotta go easy smoking it so i'll still have some of it for a while. once i am able to consistently able to reproduce adequate results with the seeds at hand i'll decide to delve into what's out there, so many strains so little time.

no disagreements here, that pink bud is possibly the most awesome example of cannabis bud i've ever seen. awesome enough to be something i would consider growing once i can be confident of my results. then again my holy grail is that super strong tasting grape flavored bud when i lived in indiana.....................................................

actually i started the 11/13 cycle about 2 weeks into flower. i'll have to look into the web source in the next day or two. the plants are far too pale for my appreciation though. i'll get around to posting more pics at some point. i've been sporatically taking pics but not as frequent as i used to. there are some aspect that i like, mainly the trichome developement so far but that's about it. i don't imagine plant #1 will yield more than a half ounce, more likely a 1/4 oz. if it is tasty and has a nice buzz i'll still smile.....

made a mistake............ i am running a 12 hr darkness, 13 hr light cycle since about week 2 of flower.

Amen brother.....I dont think we are ever satisfied....always tweeking...im teeeking my harvest....I'm liking the wet harvest. Now ask me when I have a monster outdoor plant....this is a picture that needs to be reposted....for the new people....compliments of @Captspaulding .

to get a bud that big i think i would risk the danger. ya just gotta be good at sneakin up on a vigorously crazed monster bud. after all, the whole point is to smoke the bud not the other way around..................

come to think of it, i wonder what smoking humans taste like to a monster bud? does it get them high?

well i been fairly disinterested in this grow given the lack of health the plants have shown but it's getting close to time where i'll be cutting them down. for the most part all i've been doing is checking to see if they need water every couple days and that's it.

i am curious to see how they will smoke as they are showing decent trichomes and smells nice so i feel they may be adequate quality. without a doubt i won't likely see more than a 1/4 oz per plant, if lucky 1/2 oz but i have so much enough stash to last me several months so quantity isn't a major issue.

i have been checking out the dispensaries locally and getting a gram here and there to see if i can find some fine tasting stuff but to be honest every strain i have picked up has been bland/tasteless/boring. all have fine buzz but that's really not my focus. still got some of the blueberry muffin i picked up several months ago and it is without a doubt the strongest tasting stuff i got, Truly Wonderful.......

i have to admit, i can't complain about grow 5 as to quality. haven't even cared to sample it but decided to sample a little of it. it smells outstanding but i would say it doesn't translate to taste. mild if any flavor but as good as dispensary weed in the least. buzz is not amazing, from what i can see they were more in a sativa direction. i've come to the conclusion that i prefer a heavier buzz that i get from more indica leaning bud. unless the bud is really strong tasting i'd prefer a heavier high.

alright, time to keep track of grow 6. been neglecting the ladies for quite some time but would give them water. hadn't bothered to moving them out of the dixie cups for months until a couple weeks ago. they were looking weak but since moving them to the 2 gal containers they are actually looking much healthier. that being the case i am becoming more optimistic which given all but the 1st grow might just be a mistake but time will tell .

i have changed my materials some, got some perlite and some biochar. other than that my growing medium now is made up of a higher degree of my compost as the soil i had bought had been mostly used up. still had some but chose not to buy any more choosing instead to use the materials i had other than the perlite and the biochar. the biochar was out of curiosity but the perlite was something i felt was sorely needed...............

curious to see if i can successfully take these ladies to harvest, healthy and beautiful .

i did have some seeds from a tea time strain and one or 2 other strains i had bought at dispensaries but when i moved them to the 2 gal containers i didn't keep track of what was what so there's no telling what strain these are at this point.

i grew it from seeds i had developed using seeds from unknown purchased bud i bought over several years and cross pollinated.... no idea of what strain specifically. i am in western oregon, salem. good to see other cannabis enthusiasts here in oregon.
