Great idea......the weak link would to be up 24/7 to keep the wood stoked to fire to keep the water boiling....also you would get some loss of water sp would have to fill tank so that it could boil over.
Use a long burning fuel like #4 coke or put fuel in a bbq automatic wood chip feeder, and set it's timer. I have seen on farm a shovel with a 6 hour candle on a lever arm used as a timer for a coal dumper, that was cool.

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I’m only 43 mate the Dead were finished when I was 12 when Garcia died so a touch before my time but I have always got along with the older generation better than my own would of loved to be in Gnicks van following em around doin acid smoking ganja sounds like good timesπŸ˜‚πŸ‘
.....yes Timothy Leary was a good friend of mine as well. I was never much of a dead head....but was very involved with the psychedelic music. I saw Led Zeppelin in the Richfield Collisium..(the Collisium is gone replaced by a field) Those were good times. 20 years in the Navy I got to travel the world....20 years in my home town delivering mail for the USPS was enjoyable. But the 40 years I was subject to piss test....so no weed, cid or other illegals. It worked out well my tolerance is so low....im a 1 hit wonder....especially with the potency of the shit im growing. 2 hits of the Malawi I grew and still have some of it....made me solve all the worldly problems....πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Okay so there's alot to go through here, I did some skimming. Lol. I just got done setting up my tent for a Northwest ohio grow. I have all the vivosun goodies minus the hydroponics. Soil i know hydro not so much. But any chance you could recomend good settings for the vivosun controller? I got the heater, the humidifier, 400 watt light, exhaust, and cycle fan. 3x3Γ—6 tent.

I've done alot of different things.....for science. πŸ€£πŸ˜‚
This is my setup up now:
I have my lights hardwired up top of tent....I bring the plants up to the lights. A lot of this is trial and error. For Veg: I run the lights at 40 to 50 percent.....bump it up 5 degrees at a time....over days during flowering. Watch for leaves to curl....if they do to much....or drop plants down further. I keep heater set around 70 degrees.....sometimes lights heat the tent up....adjust to keep between 70-80 .....humidifier I run 50-60 percent....

Hey it's all trial and error. Been row cropping my entire life, dont know unless you try. How comes your not running your lights at full intensity? My light meter for the outdoor grow this past summer was maxed the entire time.

I didn't. But now that I know it was a V Dub, I had a Karman Ghia but not back then. Back then, don't laugh, I had a Pinto!

because you cannot create everything that’s going on outside to inside, electrical energy from the earth, birds singing, pests, predators in the ground and on the plant, winds from all directions, sun intensity changes daily, moonlight is cool temp,..
so on and so on

That doesnt answer the question of reducing light intensity. I would expect you'd want as much as possible to recreate the suns strength.

Yes he really did. "sun intensity changes daily" and in fact hourly as the angle changes through the day. As a row cropper you already know this. This isn't the same as in a grow tent when angle and intensity are virtually fixed. Too much can damage the plant. And depending on the plant can stunt it quite a bit.

Rather what he is doing is not immitating the strength, he's immitating the cyclic rhythm. Actually replacing the sun indoors is way harder than it sounds because of diffusion, refraction, air mass and flow... so your light meter outside might ping top end 1800 or something but there are many reasons it doesn't mean or affect the same way a light does. I wouldn't compare or consider anything as far as light between outside and in a tent.

Now that makes sense. Everyone ive ever talked to in the industry has told me light strength is everything. So thats why I questioned the intensity settings. Im gonna play with my controller and try different intensities throughout the day.

They're right. Indoor vs outdoor is like metric and imperial though. Phenos too though people find a favorite level ppfd for all the varietals AND over-trends for sativas/indicas/ruderalis. My Cherry and Colombian liked relatively pounding light and a few others get touchy at only like 900. Would you like to be really fucking crazy? The sun has color temperature cycles. *GASP!*

Good morning "cave dwellers"..... I hope everyone has been good out there. Remember the Jolly Ole guy is coming. When I was a Letter Carrier...I would say....The USPS delivered Christmas....the " Jolly Ole fat fuck got all the credit". I have a busy day today....have to train 4 more plants...bothe Cinderella 99's, one of the Oaxican Gold's and Frostette #3. I have to do some defoliation as well. The rest of the plants in the video were trained yesterday. For some reason the videos don't want to attach....so here are pics. I am going to have to get in there and move them around a bit.....give them more room.
Next 2 pictures are of the Black Lebanese in the back. BL colors are amazing.
4th picture is AK-47
The Malawi x Northern Lights Auto are pictures 5 and 6. Never seen a plant with pea sized buds on the first picture....the other one looks normal.
Last picture is closeup of the buds off the MxNL...
I have to feed today and set up 2 hydroponic buckets and plant a couple Auto's in them. Since Auto's have a short grow period I want to see how the plant responds with nutes immediately absorbed by the roots. I havent used the greenleaf nutes while growing hydroponically...
....has anyone ever used them in hydroponics??? And if so what ratio did you use???

If those pea sized buds fatten up you'll have 2ft long colas on her, she is wild looking. And speaking of USPS carriers, check your mail today.
πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜‚....I hope they fatten up. Confusice says not.....its a auto....on the end of its time. If it were a photo fem....yes maybe. All we can do is hope and dream.
