Grown since 2025! Backyard shed edition!

So they've been flowering for about 30 days. Because it's a seed run, I've been keeping more N in the feed. Basically 1/1/1 tsp per gallon of micro, grow and bloom with 1/2 tsp p/g silica.

I still don't exactly have a plan. All of the sites I flipped are ready to burst.

I accidentally broke a branch and will try to finish it in some water. Unfortunately, the sacs on this one are much less developed than the other branches.

It's 26Β° outside and 48Β° in the shed. The water in the rez is 45Β° Still feeding the same 1/1/1/1 ratio, from left to right: armor si, micro, grow and bloom

The 6/2 light schedule has been fantastic for keeping the environment stable despite my trace looking like an 8.0 earthquake on the Richter scale. This is the last week

Ok one camera works. The one in the tent cuts off when I zip it up.

Im obviously not going to run the lights in the heat of the day but I wanted to see what it was like anyway. Kinda brutal in there today but I expected that. I'm going to get a better screen for the intake, right now I'm using a cotton t shirt lol. Not about to be sucking every bug in the yard in there while I figure everything out.

Hydro and coco has been ruled out. This will be a soil run.

Hydro would let you grow at a bigger temp range if you make it non sterile

So the shed is in the sun from 10am to 3pm. The lights will run 18/6 from 4pm to 10am for veg and probably 8pm to 8am for flower. These are my happy awake hours so that's perfect.

The uv is set for 15 min intervals at 8 pm, midnight and 4 am. There will be an additional 30 minutes at noon during veg to interrupt the dark cycle as a preventative measure against powdery mildew. Apparently, according to recent studies the spores are most vulnerable during the dark period and uv-b has been an effective countermeasure. I'm always willing to give new ideas a shot so why not.

I will incrementally add 5 minutes to each Uv exposure until they are getting 30 mins a pop, for a total of 90 min per day. The nighttime dose will go away in flower even though what I've been reading suggests it does not interrupt the photo period. Call it paranoia idk lol. Not gonna be left questioning my first run if it herms out but if I do get PM that shit will be flipped on for sure haha!

This first run will be F2 seeds from a sherbet/NYC diesel cross I made.

The F-Bombe πŸ’£πŸ¨
Maybe uv doesn't but all led lamps have blue/violet light aswell

Dude dig a hole in the yard and put an Air pump cold air in your krazky would maybe lower the temps
Actually for that to work you would need a pretty significant heat exchanger underground.
Just 200 cubic feet a minute of air at 5 degrees above dirt temp of 54 degrees giving you 59 degrees plus what you loose in the duct run would be an exchanger about 60 square feet.
Not a hole.

@BearWater and I drew up a plan for an underground duct run for cooling but I wasn't really into digging up my yard lol.

This kratky experiment is done. She looks like shit. The water smells like rotten eggs. This is as far as she got. Straight in the bin. Can't have a sick little experiment jeopardize the rest. If the circumstances were different I would move her in the house and fix her up but not this time unfortunately.

The other two jars are upstairs in my "drying tent" πŸ˜† Im about to take a few more cuts off them for the next round since their parents are doing so well in the heat. That's gonna start in mid August and be done by early December. Then a round of Mephisto canna cheese autos which I plan to reverse. Those should make a great winter crop outside because I can run the lights for heat as long as I want.

It's 93Β° in the dark in the tent and every day they look great. Maybe the positive diff in temp is helping in some mysterious way idk.

Kratky has a problem with air small jars get used up fast.i had 20L and after a week you get over watering simptones.easy fix new water or air pump/waterfall
I'm running an auto feed hydro sterile no problem I guess you missed that part of the thread
I am currently on page 17 you just gave up on kratky haha but I mean like dwc roots allways hydrated.cool diary I am impressed on the yield on the first plant

Can the duct be the tiny hose from the air pump? Would that make any difference?i know the hole where my water measurer is is ice cold in the summer and it's not big at all
