Sorry to hear about your mom ☹️

I never made to the thumb. We'd go up to Mackinac every now and again when I was a kid. But that's about the only times I headed more north than St. Jo.
Thanks, I miss her 'cause she was also my best friend and now I'm the last of our family. Happens if you live long enough.

My husband's parents had a place on Sugar Island up at the Soo and we would brave the elements to visit on Thanksgiving. One time I remember the thermostat malfunctioning halfway up 75 in the middle of nowhere and hubby having to remove it while trying to salvage the fluid. We talked about putting snow or the thermos of coffee in it. We'd drive a few miles then stop to let it cool off. Was a pretty chilly ride till we got to an exit and found a gas station. Way before cell phones.

Tentatively planning to put autos in the 12 boxes, in pots, and 4-5 photos in the dirt. And I plan to spray, spray, spray the dirt dwellers along with managing their size. Basically be proactive instead of reactive. And I have a variety of seeds to choose from, but all are feminized. I just have to much trouble telling gender early.
I kind of want to try some autos in smaller pots outdoors for some early summer smoke! I was watching Gal do it, it seems like a good idea! If i do, I’ll fork out some cash on the maphisto line of something. ✌️

Aren't you all supposed to be getting another really cold snap? Hope you make it home safely.

Do it just give them a good start indoors first then accliment them to outdoor temps for a couple days. Don't begin them by sprout outdoors that was a big mistake for me.

Hi cpurola, our first car did'nt have air conditioning nor power steering LOL. Man it sure made my arms strong LOL, turning corners was a real twister. Safe travels and gal i got a brand new dishwasher and i've never once used it i simply like doing them by hand.

so i dont have good timing in any sense of the word!🤣 when did you start yours?😆 i was thinking a couple seven gallons? is that to big for them?

That's what I use for Autos outdoors. I start them indoors as well, mainly so they get a little size to them before putting them into the critter infested wild. 😉
I've had seedlings dug up by squirrels, topped by bugs and pummelled by weather. Hate having to replant.

Heck it can depend on how warm it is outdoors in June here. I'll get them going in May indoors. I'll start my photo seeds later April indoors in the tent an set a timer for 15hrs on.

I started mine the last week of March, give um partial days outside, weather permitting thru April, transplanted outdoors on mother's day.
Weather was questionable the second week they were in ground, but they made it thru it.

I like March for getting things started too.

I picked up some 7 East genetics this year and am looking forward to popping some. From what I've read the seed is good. Mike sent me more than double the seeds I ordered and added a freebie. If the first seeds have a decent pop percentage I'll order some more. Interesting strains. My neighbour has grown one of the 7 East raspberries and says the weed plants smell just like raspberry.

Catcher in the Rye. Need to do it.

Got back home and found the humidifier out of water. Room went from 50% to 35% for about 12 hours so I don't think it was too stressful. Checked the media with my meter and they needed another day to dry out. Checked today and same. Sugar leaves on some are starting to brown and I'm concerned they may need... something. ? So, I looked at a few Cal-Mg deficient pics and that may be it. I know they're almost done, but I'm going to give them a little anyways, just in case. And I dropped the PH of my well water to 6.5 with a tiny bit of citric acid, instead of leaving it at 7.
I tried to give the green girl (obviously NOT Northern Lights) a little PK boost and her leaf tips all browned. 🫤
Anyways, pics.

Question: If I start regular seeds now, would there be enough time to determine gender and/or make clones to keep everything going until June first planting into the garden?
From what I have seen a regular and a fem can be held in mother stage at veg for a very long time.
Low light low temp and then in prep for clone cutting turn it back on with heat and light.

The problem won't be figuring out male or female.

If you start now it's 4 1/2 months growth indoors. Plants will be huge. I'd wait at least a month, probably more.

The plant will be as huge as she wants.
Or as small as she wants.
In veg you just trim trim trim, chop chop chop.
There are guys here with stringy little plants that are holding genetic material for YEARS using this method.
Timing will be key and asking for help from our guys here would be important for setting a good timeline for clone cuts.
