I just recently read somewhere that air stones don't actually aerate the water, they break the surface tension to allow air to mix at the surface. Wasn't a scientific source so I don't know how actuate it is.A peek inside my rez at the waterfall aeration. It runs for 3 minutes every 30. Saves a lot of money not having an air stone on 24/7 and it oxygenates the water more efficiently.

And I vote YES on keeping the little ones. But then, I have a problem with culling.
Yeah almost none of the oxygen in the bubble makes it into the water until it breaks the surface. @Florida_Mike had a great explanation in his thread. This is the way I learned 30 years ago on big ebb and flow systems and I was taught it was to eliminate the noise from the air compressors. That brings up a good question. With your shed set up, as you have it, have you id'd the kWh used? If so how much?
A month? Between 400-600 kWh
I was just curious what something that complete, even though really contained, would cost in energy usage. That's a good figure to base my decision process on. ¡Muchas gracias!

I’ve been wanting to try other runs with other nutrients as a comparison of what I’m doing now.
I started with fox farm trio, it went well but kinda costly at bigger scales, then I mixed fox farm with natural home made compost tea, (which is a fancy way of me saying , my wife and I put scraps in a bucket, we add water , wait a week, then add that to the plants) lol
This has been going great tbh, recently we only do compost tea, but I’m on the fence of like seeing what other nutrients can do to have multiple grow experiences using different solutions
We collect about 1500 gallons and save it for times of drought in the summer for the gardens. You can go through it pretty quick so we fill up every time we can and need too. I can't recommend it enough if you can.
