Ok now.
I've had some difficulties figuring out how to use my LUX meter, and maybe i found out from a guy who tested some LUX meters, and mine was among them.
So now i try to calculate my PAR like this. - LUX x 0.017 -. This is for my LUX meter with the lamp i use.

Be aware that his way of calculate is confusing for some and maybe wrong. The comments reflects that.
He says : LUX x 0.0017 and that cant be right or i don't understand. I suspect he misread the meter and forgot a zero.

So according to that i still give my plants too much light.
I kinda suspected that because when i lowered the amount of light on my afghan, the overside got more trichomes.
I still thought it was too little but i didn't think more about it.

Then my afghan hermed yesterday plus it has crispy tips, and that made me try check.
I gave it around 50.000 LUX x 0.017=850 PAR and that sounds like too much.
Yeah long story.

Day 74

The afshan kush ryder now with naners

Yep i saw it coming. It can happen on two of the others too.
It always happens for me when the flowers loop. The end of the pistils don't come out of the flower from start, or they curl strange.

I don't know how well it shows.

I raised my lamps some more so they get around 40,000 LUX at the top.
That should be around 680 PAR according to the calculation from last post.

Yeah i've removed the one nanner i found.
I was trying to show the deform pistils but it don't show well in the picture.

What is stigma growth btw?

Day 75

Gorilla zkittlez auto

Still very green. Never lost a leaf. Also have the deform pistils and may start herming too. I'll keep a close eye on that.

The afghan (not in picture) is getting these small rounded green leafs, nearly without trichomes. Looks like revegging but it an auto so? It is 15 days over time. Maybe thats why? Anyway i'm not a fan of that.
I gave it water till runoff today and the same for northern light x big bud yesterday. Runoff is not looking rich in nutes.

Milkyway really close to harvest.
Northern light x big bud coming along slowly. Best "smeller" of them.

Day 76

Northern Light x Big Bud

Many pistils starts browning now, so i don't expect it to get mush bigger buds.
Imagine if this had grown without the hiccups. Could have given 200g. Now more like 80. Buds still nice though. Only a few dried leafs in the buds and it's not really getting more right now.

Looking very nice. Still quite thirsty. Gave it some more water.
It is 32.5 cm

I might cut this one down today.
Main reason: I'm out of smoke.
It also had 1 nanner today. I almost knew it would herm. So two plants with nanners.
I'm gonna check trichomes and decide witch one to cut.

I have checked. I'm taking the top of the milkyway. It looks ready. Only dry pistils and few orange inside the bud.
The rest of the plant don't look ready and the other 3 plants the same.

Day 79

I've changed my mind.

The afghankush ryder.

I'm cutting this down because i need some smoke and because it's getting new grow on the tops.
The last plant i cut did the same and took 1 1/2 month extra.
The new grow is supposed to come from light/heat stress.
That would also explain them smelling a lot at a point. So i may have evaporated the smell from the 2 afghan dominant. They don't smell of much now. And even though it has gotten better, they still have relatively few trichomes on the upper side of the buds.
The 2 with more sativa in them is handling the light better No deform flowers on them for example.

I misread my notes. This is a "70" days plant.

I wet trim. Havn't tried dry trim. I'm not a top shelf trimmer so it's not gonna take long to trim. Maybe 2 pink floyd albums and a black sabbath with ozzy album. I'm thinking Animals, Obscured by clouds and Sabbath bloody sabbath. Then some tea and some smoke and enough breaks.

After i changed my view on trimming, from boring work to cozy work it's actually not that boring. I just prepare so i have food and smoke and all ready for the breaks and then some good music. Then the hours fly by.

I’ll bet they smell better than you are anticipating after drying : ) and especially if you need some smoke!

I dried a round to quickly with higher heat. Stuff didnt smell super duper on the line but once i got it into jars it had some of the main scents left, yeah it did cook a lot of the terpenes out but it still had a decent herb smell with a couple notes of whatever lol.

No popcorn, no larf.

Not much to make shift of.

The small ball next to the match stick is the scissor hash. No laughing please.
The scissors is home modified and an absolute beast.
I got the scissor with spring, everybody use, too but mine can only do one cut and it's glued together. It was like that from new.
This one don't care about being sticky. I just scrape it with a knife when the sticky buildup is about to fall of. It's polished so easy to scrape.

This plant wasn't that sticky. The trichomes had dried out a bit compared to normal.

The plant is a good beginner plant imo. I took the beatings like a champ.

@BearWater yes i could smell some when trimming and i think you are right.

Ha ha makes me think of the time i took a jar with me to the bar. I thought i could roll a quick joint without anybody noticed. Well i only got to open the jar, then whole bar knew. It was a good day, all got high.

Day 80

Northern light x big bud

Bud but not so big.
This one gonna have some dry leafs in the buds. The tops are very close to the light.
Still lots of fresh pistils so it will get a bit bigger but not gonna be huge. Probably smallest buds but most weight of the 4.
Best smelling imo.
I tried some popcorn. Taste vice i think it needs a cure to judge properly. The effect is a nice change but nothing crazy.

Day 81 from sprout.

Huge update.
I'm harvesting these two bad boys today if i have time.

Gorilla zkittlez from Fastbuds 42 "63" day plant on the left, and Milkyway F1 from RQS "74" days plant.
They are not under light any more.

Other budshot was blured. I'll make a new next update.

I expect an easy trim again but some larf and popcorn this time, but not much sugar leaf trim to shift i guess.

The afghan i harvested friday may get fluffy buds. Looks a bit like it after some drying. Happened to last harvest too. Looked compact when trimmed but fluffy when dry. Edit: i think it's because the leafs are meaty?

After trim report

First the budshot of Milkyway. The main bud. Had to use flash.

Some of milkyway. The one to the left is main top. I think i got 11 branches. Actually all 3 got 11 branches. 10 + top.

Got them in a box to slow down the drying a bit. All 3 plants is there.

Trimming went fine. I made a second to top shelf trimming. Easy work with the small branches. Milkyway most easy. No larf. Some popcorn on milkyway as expected.
Not much sugar leaf. I'd be lucky if i can shift 1 g from all 3 plants.
The gorilla zkittlez looks like it gave almost double of milkyway but the leafs were also heavy. I could hear that when the trim fell. Holds a lot of water.
But i've never seen such a green plant. It was like trimming a plastic flower.

I found a total of 2 gnats in my buds so the gnat guard is working.

Only thing remains if they get fluffy. Time will tell.

On glas report with weight and bud pics will follow when ready.

Day 83

Small update

Northern light x big bud.
Looking a bit sorry compared to start of flower. I can only imagine how it could have been.
On the bright side. The buds looks small but ok and smell good. It wouldn't surprise me if it gave 100g

And the afghan kush i harvested. It has scrimped some after drying some days. I don't think it gets fluffy though.
Small grass smell on day 3 as usual but not much.

Next update on northern light x big bud will be harvest.
