Once we did some work at the Carlsberg brewery.
One of the workers told us about a guy in the cleaning department.
At a time his boss decided to check if it was time to give the guy a gold watch for 25 years service as tradition was.
The boss couldn't find the guy in the archives.
Turned out the guy had been coming there cleaning for 25 years only to get the free worker beers Cheers

I kind of did the same thing as a kid... Was huge into skateboarding, even competed in some contests. Back then the parks were pay to skate and I was a poor white boy. So one day I happened to be skating the Carlsbad Skatepark (The ORIGINAL Skatepark) and the skate patrol dude announced if anybody wanted to pick up trash around the park they'd give them a free skate pass for the evening session. Well 12 year old me interpreted that as a job offer. I started showing up every afternoon after school to pick up trash so I could skate. About a year later after I'd gotten really good, the park manager called me in and gave it to me straight. Nobody ever had the heart to tell me it was a one time thing because the guys on that shift were just too stoned and too lazy to do their job. But good news for you kid, because you got good, and the park has been sold to the Sparks brand, and they want to put a team together to represent them, so we're sending you to Magic Mountain to compete in the Hang Ten Open. That was my first contest. I placed first in division. Any of you skaters might know these names... I had a chance to directly compete against Stevie Caballero, Mike McGill and Alan Lossey at the Hester Pro in Del Mar. I placed 6th, didn't even get on the platform. But still, what a stoke that was.

Carlsberg on plastic bottles is festival to me. Id pick up drinking again after 10+ years if you put me in a hot tent with a lukewarm case of those puppies. Crank up some RATM.

He scouted me one night at the Carlsbad park with an offer to build me the board I design and skate for him. I was the grom of the group. He also had Jeff Tatum and Rodney Jesse repping his boards.

have you taken it down yet? based off it eating itself you might consider chopping before it turns into a rot in the buds situation. trichs are cloudy with some amber, would be enough for me to take it.

Christianias skatepark was a lot of fun. I met a girl who lived in a camper outside chris and I stayed with her for a summer. Felt like this is what the rest of my life will be like, just skating and smoking
