The first time I did it, same. Second time OMG! I smoked opium twice too but it fucked me up both times.

I sure could tell the difference between the high of the brick weed compared to the Thai and Skunk but between those two? Not much. Hawaiian would come around for $10 a gram, like hash and like the hash always worth it but not really any better than the other top notch strains of the day.

Now, how much difference is there between the killer weed of the 70's and today? I don't see much and certainly can't see a difference between those and many of my favorite strains over the past 45 years.

I've got a strain from Freak Genetics called Sarsparellia, GMO Root Beer x Pure Michigan that has been tested at 30% TCH that doesn't get me any higher than the 2003 Granddaddy Purple at 18% THC.

I made a cross of GDP x Blueberry Hash Plant that, at least to me tastes like the old Afghani Primo from the late 70's. No grapes or berries, that I love but the old school flavor is rocking my world with a strong high.

I haven't found any of the newer higher THC percentage strains to be better or get me higher than what I've been growing for decades. I just don't see it and will continue to grow and enjoy these strains while making my own crosses hoping for some new flavors, and to me today Flavor is king😉

Being raised in the midwest I never got to try the exotics until I was over there and tried Thai in Thailand and Maui and Kona in Hawaii otherwise it was just good ole reliable Gold for the most part, Brick weed and occasionally I got my hands on Panama. Hell I never smelled skunk until I got stationed out west. I was in Washington and a bud bought a dime and said hey check this out....wheeewwww weee that was real skunk. Not skunk light.

When I quit in the 90's things started getting more body high than the sativa mind high and I started feeling more paranoid and anxious so I said fuck it. And I couldn't afford it with two kids anyway and they were more important.

Yeah, that Skunk just reaked, bad. My buddy comes home from Polly Tech in Humbot for Christmas 1978. He's driving a VW camper van and the thing smells so bad when you opened the door. He's got a couple paper grocery bags full of 12-14" maybe larger fan leaves (he tells me they just toss these on the ground🤣) and 2 oz's of prime flower that really smelled strong🤣 Best Christmas Ever🥰

Around 1981 had a buddy who disappeared for a couple months, said he was up North, hitchhiked his way up and met people along the way and wound up coming back with a pound of super dank weed and bags of magic mushrooms. Back then people who went up to be trim slaves didn't tell others what they were up to because 1) loose lips and shit and 2) if you were in on something good, the masses knowing about it would ruin it.

Same where I come from. Back in the nineties it was how you got caught. I was super paranoid and thought I was like a Bond-villain and wore camouflage in the woods and stuff where I had not seen a living soul for all my upbringing.

I doubt if there'll ever be just one 'cause I want my grapes and berries, GDP and pretty much any good Blueberry strain. These go back a ways for me. When Blueberry hit in the 80's (OMG) to today Bodhi's Blueberry HashPlant, aka Blueberry with an edge, I've always craved it. Then in the early 2000's GDP hit. I had been hearing the hype for a bit before inhaling this strain but it lived up to and surpassed my imagination. I will work this strain until I'm planted🥰

A good Chem/Haze without a doubt is on my want list.

#1 on that list is NL #1 or 2. This girl has been in my top 5 since the 80's and will remain. I'm gonna get me some seeds someday.

And a good nasty ass cheese, and I mean smell and taste NASTY. That would do me nice but, a whole lot of the fun is the search. From buying or trading to pheno hunting this is the fun stuff and what makes me keep on keeping on. I wanna die in my garden while deciding which strains to cross🥰

You got the opposite issue I do. For the life of me can't get past 21 days without flipping everything haha. It's a monumental task for me for some reason.
