Hard to discern the gelato and the hemp from each other right now. Tops look very similar and even have a similar early terp shift from earthy to a combination of sage up front, pine behind it, and a soft lemon underneath. There are some subtle differences though. The ice cream cake is one of those weird ones that makes the whole neighborhood smell skunky like someone's growing but you don't really smell it on the plant. The flowers are more floral and pleasant but if you dig inside a bud you'll find that nasty funk hiding.
You will, once you start smelling the Cherry Wine. Prefect name for this strain. Gelato was sweet, sugar sweet. Definitely different.

Them: You excited about growing those nasty ass cheese seeds?

AI: Crossing a Cheese auto with a Northern Lights (NL) auto produces an Auto Cheese NL hybrid (sometimes referred to as Auto Cream NL). This cross combines the pungent, sweet aroma of Cheese with the earthy, potent, and relaxing characteristics of Northern Lights.

Guess who plans on crossing cheese autos with NL autos🤔🤣

The sticks are to keep rats out. One MF'er was bringing loquats into the greenhouse and sitting in this pot of Grandmommy Purple and eating them making a mess in the pot and knocking the seedling around

You can still see some fruit pieces. I've been covering all 8 seedlings with cups

I'd really like to capture the rat/s, tie them up and prop their eyelids open and make them watch daytime TV. That would learn 'em😉

Day 35 and I'm loosing the fight to keep this plant out of the light. The stems are already getting woody as fuck and don't want to bend anymore. Trying to pull the scrog down lower and the branches are stronger than the elastic lol.

You can throw a lot of money at the problem of storing and curing your weed but the fancy gadgetry won't really give you that much of an edge over old school hacks. I use an old Styrofoam cooler for storing my weed that some Omaha Steaks came in. It regulates the hard temperature swings and keeps it in the mid 60's on the patio even when day temps are climbing to the 90's. In the warmer months just swap a frozen water bottle every couple days for peace of mind.

For weed curing you make a really good point about microplastics so material wise you'll probably want HDPE or polypropylene since they're food grade. I just bought a 32 gallon trash can I'm trying out for analog drying. It's HDPE. This is an old school hack and it works, and the only drawback is it has to be actively monitored and adjusted to keep range. It's just a matter of venting it right and the only real headache window is the first 72 hours. Once you get past the initial sweat it gets a little more predictable and you can close vent holes you drilled one by one as the rh drops to keep it in range or crack the lid if it spikes, and for longer periods that you can't monitor it you can put a cup of damp rid and a cup of water at the bottom and it creates a push/pull effect that keeps it stabilized. It's not perfect but protects from spikes and bottoming out and if you go out of range you'll only hit a margin.
Amazon has this 60 gallon

Box for $45. This might work for me, northern side of garage on the cool cement floor🤔

Here we go

A toothbrush holder filled with rock wool and a little powder rooting hormone on a branch where I removed growth at a node and sliced 2 shallow cuts about a half inch long. I have 4 more to add. I'm putting them on a Cherry Wine hemp.

@Ninjadogma Really glad I took some cuts😘 The smells I'm getting off these are incredible. From pine to berries. I wanna smoke this all day and get lost in the yard🥰
Just checked the 3 cuts

Roots showing on the one on the right and center. They've all been solid for the past week. They'll get some bigger shoes soon tonight.

These will be the first of many cuts of Blackberry Kush😉

Friggen rats. We have to wrap our tree oranges with aluminum foil just so we can have a few to ourselves to eat because those bastards pick the tree clean. And I had a little fucker stealing whole bud branches one year, that was why I built that screenhouse. That they chewed through so I had to build 2.0 🤣

On a positive note, talk about a stroke of absolute luck. Looks like that ground hog that wound up in the empty pool was the same one that was digging up the front yard. It's been 3 days now and no new dirt has been moved around. And the damnest thing, it crawled itself right into the pool skimmer net for me to so all I had to do was pick it up and drop it in the bucket. It almost bit me through the net though. I felt those teeth make brief contact on my finger through the net.

The last one I caught on the patio got decapitated. I had a flat shovel and he was in the wrong fkin place. I can't grow anything in the ground anymore because of those bastards.

I have an electronic device that keeps rats and mice away but it's old and obviously not working. Gotta buy some more.

This is why I frown on the use of the scrog net....you cant get into the area either. I have a 4x8...only have access through the one door....I'm too fucking old to get on my hands and knees and crawl under the canopy....but may have to do it. Smoke a "J" before I do it.....take a break half way to the other side....🤣😂
