My way with clones is put them in a clear pot with a lot of holes and then into a red cup so y can check out the root zone anytime.Thankfully, my container is translucent. It looks relatively dry. The further down you go which is why I was asking. But obviously don't want to over water, i will keep an eye on it though.
Roots shouldn't be exposed to light, so the red cup shadows them.
20 hours of light with low intensity is my strategy. Low intensity helps the root sys to develope faster, high intensity is for leaf development.
