Wondering exactly what kind of deficiency is this clone suffering from? Or possibly something else?

Thankfully, my container is translucent. It looks relatively dry. The further down you go which is why I was asking. But obviously don't want to over water, i will keep an eye on it though.

My way with clones is put them in a clear pot with a lot of holes and then into a red cup so y can check out the root zone anytime.
Roots shouldn't be exposed to light, so the red cup shadows them.
20 hours of light with low intensity is my strategy. Low intensity helps the root sys to develope faster, high intensity is for leaf development.

So, I was also going to ask you. What would be the results going forward with a clone if it did indeed have the rot issue and the cube like you were saying. These pictures are from today.

This is just a hypothetical because I would like to know more about how all of that works, like the rotting cube situation in general.

I feel like she has definitely been getting on track, so I I'm trying to be hopeful LOL

The good news is you don't have signs that's going on. Not sure if mentioned before and I'm too lazy to scroll, but if you look at the base of soil and peek at the stem just below the soil it will start looking brown. What will be happening inside is it will be getting hollowed out as the fungus feeds on tissue. I've never saved one but if you run into that, the only strategy that makes sense is to cut the stem above the rotted part and see if you can get it to reroot there. It's plant gangrene... Must be amputated.

Sorry i forgot what media you use but if it's soil you should be good with your water.

And you are feeding them anything after transplant?

So I used this living soil that's from a local, Gaia greens all-purpose, and some worm castings. The curling from the leaf tips was a thing slightly before the transplant. It seems to be about the same as it was when I first got them. Hasn't gotten any worse or changed much either though. Is it a sign of something specific?

You were getting necrotic tips. The mental checklist... Is it too close to the light, is the soil too cold or are the nutes too hot. My hunch is it was a temporary thing as the young clone roots transitioned into a hot blend. Unless you really are dealing with low temps in your environment. That hard VPD crash threw me for a loop though. I thought for sure it was going to be stem rot.

So, the light has stayed at minimum 35in away from canopy and is now 40 in from canopy. For a day or so I had tried putting up a larger light with a little more power and I soon realized it didn't seem to be doing any favors in regards to the plants lol. The temps have stayed between 70 and 80, I have tried to maintain 77/78. What is a VPD crash? The stems look pretty darn good though thankfully!

Don't know much about this, but the little bit I looked up I am thinking this is my current issue. I found one little knat looking thing this morning. What they are both exhibiting matches up with this. Good thing is looks like it's treatable and manageable.

Thanks! I looked into the type of damage they do to the leaves and this seemed very similar to what I have seen. I was going to get some sticky traps and let the plants dry out really well.

My last grow I feel like I had trouble with height/stunted growth on my plants and I am hoping it doesn't happen again this time. I want them to be tall and bushy. Lol.

I don't think they eat the leafs. Normally their larves eat from the roots they say.

Take a look at this picture. I watered some hours before this picture. I don't know if this is common knowledge but i've noticed this before. After watering the larves comes up. The soil looks more wet on the picture because i just sprayed the dirt with neem oil with water 4% + little...

They're usually more nuisance than plant problem but when their numbers grow out of hand the larvae will start eating roots. You can get mosquito dunks, break off about a pea size chunk and throw it in a 2 gallon watering can. You can add your nutes in there too, won't harm anything. It's a natural and safe soil bacteria (bacillus thurengensis Israelis, or BTi.) If you don't want to buy mosquito dunks, contact your local vector control agency, they may just have a program in place to give it away.

I'm thinking maybe if I just let them dry out. Really good and when it's absolutely necessary to feed them again I do it via bottom feeding. But preventative wise. I saw that you guys said neem oil and I've also heard hydrogen peroxide and diluted dish soap. If that is indeed them, which I'm almost certain because I found one. I don't think it's gotten very bad thankfully. So I'm just going to have to keep a really close eye on the situation. But I'm hoping whatever remedies work that it will decrease the yellowing of the leaves and hopefully help the growth of the plant get and back on track.

There is pervention and combating.
As example. The yellow sticky is pervention but also monitors. BTi is combating but also prevention.

Yup sometimes they just be buzzing about the house and get drawn to that nice moist soil inside the tent and I presume they can smell it and not that they're drawn to the light. But some stickies are a good preventative for snatching those scouts, especially if you have regular houseplants around that you don't babysit the same.

Get stickys and look for sth. Flying around. The larves are also visible after watering on the soil.

Yes I'm going to get the stickies, I haven't seen any and I just watered the one littlest one this morning. After having that watered it for like 7 or so days. I've been monitoring it since I watered it and haven't seen much. But I'm definitely going to get the sticky traps. Lessen the humidity in the room as well and Up the ventilation. Thanks guys!
