I have never been successful with the paper towel method. Everything so far has been straight to dirt. These new additions will actually be my 1st attempt at indoor blooms.I'm with Beazy, once they show a tail in paper towel and get put in the dirt, no more coddling. LOL
Actually, the ones I've started and put outside get an upside down cup with the bottom cut out to keep the critters from digging them up or beheading them. Just for a week or so until they get a second or third set of leaves.

These 5 for indoor blooms are autos as well.Good luck! And I mean that, truly. I have just finished my second run in a tent and it's sooo much different than outdoors.
