Yeah the strawberry soda.
I just got a feeling it's gonna be a bit boring smoke, and hmmm the structure, i don't know. Maybe for for your grow style is ok.
But lets see how it turns out.
I try follow along.

i agree with you that its not anything special. Hoping the little bit of nugs I get are still fire but we have to wait. Shes only getting attention because shes a freak show. If you go back to that group shot where she is tiny like a sprout... shes 4-5 weeks old in that pic and she has pistils! Lol! Her structure is shit! That spacing is hilarious.

Ha ha yeah that spacing. Better hang that lamp up high.
But i agree. I never throw a plant out except it's too wild for my space. It could turn out something special.
But after i learned that the traditional weed farmers could tell what plant was going to be for the good bricks, i'd say before flower for the most part, i started to guess my self early on. If it's an indica for example, then don't be afraid if it turns out small. It was the smallest that was for the best quality.
But it's most fun with more unstable strains i think.

The Gorilla Cookies was rough trimmed(lots of stems) and put in grove bags about a week ago. I had to go thru it all to get the stems out and break it down to buds. Then into the bowl trimmer for about 15-20 seconds per batch. It took about an hour maybe 45 minutes to remove the stems and trim 300g.

Which brings us to the final dry weight of the cookies. There is 299.7g of tops. I only took the top 4-6" of each cola this time. About 3/4 of a 5gal bucket worth of larf and B grade but it still has some stems in there. Im calling it 450g of scraps. I dont really count trim but with the bowl there is a bunch of good weed in there plus all the trichomes. Should make for good concentrates. The pic of the trim is off by the 21g of the bag, my scale shutoff before i got the trim in bag and lost the tare. So 97.6g of trim. 847.3g total. Lets take some off for the actual trash in the trim. Call it 800g of dry flower.

Making a couple upgrades to the gas chamber today. I'll start with this AC Infinity 16" bowl trimmer. Im very skeptical about trimming gadgets in general but also cant get myself to keep up with hand trimming. I was recommended the TrimBag by another grower but my guy at the grow store pointed out you need a good amount of bud to make the trimbag work halfway decent. Since I have different strains, yields, and timing of harvests I went with the bowl.

After the first run I say its way better than the hand trimming process but obviously by hand will always be more precise. If you zoom in on the trim you can see you lose some chunks of good bud. Results are very acceptable tho and what you "lose" is still there easy to collect. It took no more than 10 minutes to unbox, setup, and trim a few oz. If you grow enough that you dont need to worry about yield then I think these are worth it. If you only grow a few plants and are a light smoker then it might not be the best option.

I trimmed everything last harvest with the same bowl trimmer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️ on big buds but smalls get ate up so I hash those it saved me for sure from months of trim jail
Your crushing it btw love what your doing 🫶🏻🪴

Yep. Bowl trimmer for the win! You nailed it about the little buds. I think that grill spacing could be a little tighter but its still great as is.

Thx for all the reactions and the kind words. Appreciate it.

Lets talk about the @SeedSupreme Gushers sisters for a minute. These pics are from the morning of day 20 above ground for the soil run and day 23 for the hydro run. One thing I hadnt thought about or planned for is the bud structure of the strain. After looking into it Gushers normally likes to produce those golf ball nugs. If I get all the new parts to these scrog runs right the results are going to be very interesting Im predicting. Here we go.

This one will get the stake tomorrow night day 21 before lights out.

This one got the stake on day 21 as well. Both plants will be flipped on there own day 28.

They're looking good! Thanks for keeping us updated sir!!!

Do you ever run into difficulty? Your systems and planning seem so effortless. 🙂
Absolutely. I put in a good effort to have my bases covered before starting something new but there is almost always SOMETHING.

I forget to open valves and turn settings back on when doing maintenance. I let a photo plant have early veg light levels for the entire stretch and flower. Big momma had multiple setup issues. All my scrogs have had too much larf. The GWK had nute issues twice. The whole 5x5 had the rockwool cube problem. I currently have a gnat problem in the 5x5. My blumats have flooded the drain trays 3 times. My nutrient line switch to heavy 16 has been a battle.

Im sure there are more and will be more. I try my best to address them and move on. Can't allow them to get in the way. Mistakes and difficulties are how I learn and improve.

Got some work done in the 5x5.

These 3 in the corner got some canopy work. This is the morning after with everyone looking happy.

The fruity pebbles also got a few more leaves removed to open her up. This is what I opened the tent for so I have the before shot.

Took the lowers off the strawberry soda a couple days ago. And she's stretched into the light a few more inches

The gushers got the stake last night and she got her first topdress. Watered in with bennies of course.

GWK is part of the 5x5 but she's my favorite atm so she gets her own post. Lol. The purple is starting to spread to the fans now. Also starting to get some pistils turning orange.

What are you putting in the bin for the worms to eat? Looks like weed leaves.
Yes ma'am. The base or "browns" is coco mixed with the straw and rice hulls. I'll be feeding them everything from the plants that I dont use and fruit & veggy scraps. No citrus, meat, dairy, and ideally nothing with a lot of chemicals sprayed on it. I'll also probably be dropping some amendments in there from time to time. Everything you add you get back in the castings basically so the amendments will kinda turbo charge the castings.

EDIT: I should add that feeding the leaves, stems, and roots to the worms will make great castings due to those parts already having all the nutrients cannabis needs. Its kinda like recycling your nutes.
