Guess I will get engaged here a little as it’s the more open minded less attitude site I’ve found for this topic.
For 26 I did build another boxed bed so nothing in bags this year which was my goal, 16 plants in the 3 beds and my overflow parking has about 20 crammed together in mostly native soil, limited watering it’s an old school grow area Ive kept up a little over the years.
Most of my focus is on the 3 raised beds which have: Orange Creampop, Lobster Queen, Squirt, Lovers Moon, Necromancer Kush, Apples & Afghani, Sex Mellon, Head Candy, Honey Face.
Three breeders wound up in the main garden, Dirty Bird, Twenty 20 Mendocino and Humboldt Seed Co, all are from feminized seeds Organically grown and they got a minimal growth adjustment this morning, trellis nets in the next few days.
They’ve been through a heat wave already and did well, our forecast for the summer is hotter and drier so mulches will be on the heavy side.
On that note I was mowing down my field for fire control yesterday, smelled wood smoke saw a plume coming off the neighbors property and found the start of a wildfire that came out of a burn pile. It had been out for a couple weeks and rained on, the owner out of town .
Was able to get it all with the tractor but if your rural in the west pay attention to everything this year we are dry.
The red balls are wooly dodds on a rose.
Cheers to another growing season

The term Afghani is a little too general for me! Like saying, I grew some Mexican, or I grew some South American, etc.! I take it to mean it been tampered with! That is just my hangup! Doesn’t mean it can’t be killer!👍
But Afghani is a specific cultivar. One of the OG sisters from the Hindu Kush region of the Himalayas. The only other name it goes by is Afghan Kush.

Breeders are going to select catchy names for their offerings, it happens throughout the horticultural industry and it ain’t gonna change anytime soon 😉

I'm pretty new to the genetics of this plant. I've grown a couple of plants that have shown this kind double toothed leaf. Each time it was good smoke. Where does this come from and is it a good indicator in your experience. This plant is a Lemon Pupil from Mass Medical. View attachment 2682682
I've never noticed that on any of my plants, pretty cool.

Very nice, I love my raised beds also. Mostly for veggies but I sneak a cannabis plant or 2 in there.

Looks like everyone's plants are looking good. Love to see it. Summer solstice is coming up in a couple of days and then the countdown to flowering starts and then the real fun will begin. Did my first outdoor harvest yesterday, just some boring autos. These have been in the greenhouse since early April so started out with pretty cold temps and got a little neglected so im surprised they turned out as good as they did. A Sweet Nurse CBD, Titan F1,and a Gelato auto. Like to have some CBD weed for my back pain and the others will probably just go in hash although the Gelato is smelling pretty dank. First time setting up the wash buckets this year, don't like smoking bugs and their poop. View attachment 2682674View attachment 2682675View attachment 2682673
I am really big on CBD, CBG plants now so can I ask where you got Sweet Nurse from?

I can't control what people do with genetics and don't really care. Afghani is a specific cultivar though, and one of the oldest on record. Not a general description of one.

A mourning walk through the greenhouse. Weird hearing a recording of my own voice. I don't realize how heavy a southern accent I have until I hear it recorded.View attachment 2682684
Yup, purdy southern! Listening to my MIL used to crack me up. She was born and raised in Richmond had more of an old timey English accent crossed with southern.

Finally got them in. So many obstacles this season. But you cant just give up, so maybe 3 weeks late, but better than nothing! Around 40 plants
Better late than never! Forty plants is still a solid run. Sometimes the toughest seasons end up being the most rewarding. I’ve seen some affordable The Seed Pharm genetics bounce back surprisingly well after a rough start. 🔥
