So can anyone tell from the pics if these are indica dominent or sativa?

It's a good 60/40 mix where the hell did oaksterdam get Chemdog #4? Now I was doubting it at first given the pics but the last few pics do look like the 4. Does that thing reek? Real sticky thick dense buds when you touch em stinks whole house up? Leafs look a little dark but one run I had with her was like that somewhat. Nice run dude, if that's a first you have many more good and unfortunately bad ones to learn from hehe. :) have fun.

Thanks for the info, they definatly smell but not insanly. I havent had a chance to smell any thats been cured, but my grow room is in my gym and they smell the gym up damm good....The cola buds are pretty dense, but any bud that wasnt on the top getting full light seems to be turning out a little fluffy. They are very sticky though, everytime I handle the plants at all I come out of there with my arms all sticky and smelling just like the plants. A shower is a must.

I was starting to wonder if they were really Chemdog #4 because they seem to be taking forever to finish flowering. I read they recomend 60-70 days, and here I am on day 74 and still have alot of clear trichomes and some cola buds are still throwing white hairs....I plan to probly start the flush tonight and flush till the trichomes are mostly cloudy with some amber....I just dont wanna cut early and cost the buds in potency...so I am guessing they will be hopefully finished around day 80, but ill flush for 2 weeks if needed.

I am considering cutting my cola buds and stems off the plants and lowering the light and letting my lower buds go maybe a week longer to fill them out and harden them up....Has anyone ever done that before?

the smell is really hard to describe....best I can describe is "pungent sweet lemon fart"....but that is the smell of the buds while flowering.....im sure it will change in cure....

I started to flush them last night, never did give them any cal/mag because I was so close to flushing not really any time. I am flushing with only PH'd (5.8) tap water.

I will see if its possible to take some trichome pics and post them up so I can get some opinions when to chop....

Alos, any opinions on if its a good idea or bad idea to just cut off my bigger upper buds and let the lower stuff get diect light for a week with the goal in mind of hardening those lower guys up....buds are pretty light and fluffy that didnt get much light.

so its been almost a week since I chopped....never planned on trimming to be so involved...took 3 evenings to rough trim all the bud....My goal is 1.25lbs dry and trimmed. I dont have a big scale so I didnt get a wet weight, but I weighed a few buds wet so I could compare after dry.

Is this normal, I had a bud that weighed 6 grams wet and after 6 days hanging it weighed in at 1 gram.....I read weed loses about 2/3 - 3/4 of its weight during drying, so whats up with my bud weighing 1/6 of its wet weight? Is that common? Will the buds gain some weight back during cure?

anyways I will start jaring the buds up and take some dry nug pics soon. I have also started to make some hash..."gumpy Method", hope to use bubble bags soon, but dont have the money for the bags now. But even using the gumpy method I have some beautiful blond hash....I will be testing some of the hash tonight....

I know the weed is potent, 3 hits and im as high as I want to be and the high last 1 hour plus...even if its your 6th bowl of the night....but im still smoking shitty little popcorn till the bud finishes drying and cures....

Sucks, I made some nice looking hash....all blond and soft like playdough, but super sticky...even after drying out for a day....I only smokes maybe a 1/10 of a gram with some popcorn weed nugs and it had me ripped....then my brothers pitbull snagged my hash and I was way to medicated to notice....a few hours later I noticed my hash wasnt in my stash box, went in my bro's room and all I found were peices of the match box on the floor that my hash was in....sucks....

congrats on the successful 1st grow bro - i hear you when you say nerve racking, i hardly had any finger nails left by the time i'd done my 1st crop. juicy lookin buds too.

Final Yeild numbers after 7 days hang dry, and 3-4 days of curing, and a tight trim.

87.9 grams - (kola buds 2.5 grams or more)
302.2 grams (buds 0.5-2.5 grams each)
127.6 grams (0.5 grams or less)

517.7 grams total or about 1.2lbs....

I have never been to oaksterdam myself, I buy them from a club in Sac that gets them from there. I cant speak for all oaksterdam genetics but my Chemdog #4 wasnt bad at all....I have been smoking only this strain for over the last month (not by choice) and havent built a much of a tolerance yet, one 0.5 gram bowl of popcorn bud still gets me ripped.

I am tellin you..stressful but theraputic also....I havent started my next crop yet either cause this first grow showed me all the holes I need to fix.

For instance:

I had no ventalation at all. Only when I opened the grow room door once a day. I had no choice, couldnt cut holes in the house.

Stand alone DWC is a pain, I will add a 50 gallon rez and a few pumps to circualte water next run.

I may grow more of a scrog type grow next, or use tomato cages. My plants were leaning over so bad at the end, and couldnt support themselves.

I will get a computer power backup box to run the bubblers in case of power outages. I had like 3 power outages during this grow.

Also I will burn sulphor as a preventive measure next time. PM sucks ass....

Holy hell bro. Havn't checked this thread in a WHILE.

I got the Chemdog #4 from fruitridge as well (maybe even the same day)

It is a giant mommy right now in the veg room under a 1000...hoping to do a run of nothing but Chemdog #4 and Pre-98 bubba next round though.

What is the flavor on the cured bud? Looks like real Chemdog #4....and if it is...we just got our hands on a gem!

Great job with these ladies...I'm sure next round will blow your mind as well :D
