Shady Tests and Updates... Rounds 5, 6, & 7
Killing it! This will be your best work, you already know that; but what a sick clean setup! Can't wait to see this come together. I also really like the diverse elite genetics this round! Very nice! I gotta get myself some OGR gear for G5, I have had CaliConnection exclusively for more than a year now. That SS is gonna be redonk!
:party0023:
Thx for the very kind words LEB!!! I think this will be my best Round to date... :thinking Someday soon I shall rock some OGR gear and hopefully some Top Dawg genetics too...

I'm blazing my OG and lovin' it... :mmm I just wish she yielded a bit more...
Dyaaammmm Shady just churning out the hits!! This thread is like the Motown of funk. No rest 4 d wicked fa real! That DUD looks like a resin bomb homie... enjoy the fruits of ur labor -Keepz
I'm really glad you had a chance to stop by Keepz... I'm hoping I can rock the Under Current as good as you have... :rock BTW, Hopefully you got a chance to see the killer bud shots from Round 4's harvest, somewhere around Page 20...:icon_spin:
Yo man that Raskals OG #1 harvest nug shot looks damn fat. Nice finish with all around orange hairs. I always like that.
I like how you do the trimming with the plants still in the pots. Not a bad idea hehe. I chopped them and then trimmed them by hand while holding them. Definitely takes a tole on your hand if you have to continue to hold them. I'm taking harvest notes from ya.
I see you haven't been messing around man! I am liking that west coast dripper manifold. I am actually thinking about trying drip out int he future so that I don't have to go into my tent and move individual plants around every watering. So how big of a rez do you have for that 3x3 table, or is the table bigger then that?
I see youe LED's experminets are going quite well. Damn frosty too!
Thank you, thank you, thank you... :happy I'm filling my 50 gal res with 40 gal of RO and running it Drain to Waste (DTW)...
Ignore my other post question broseph- this is what I needed to see!! So you are running GH3 pt with the coco drippers eh? I'll pm ya about some specifics after checking your pics but this looks like the type of set-up i was looking at....
I will be running similar nutes to your first page regimen this run...if I can use them on coco/perlite as well- I would love to.
Veg- AN 3pt, Roots Excel and whatever kelp additive i find.
Flower- AN 3pt,
Bud Candy, Hammerhead,
MOAB, Calplex.
I'll probably add a fulvic/humic combo as well to both....any inputs since you are running similar? This will be my switch up from full organic soil to hydro/coco...so new realm for me- expect fuck ups. LOL.
Hope you had a chance to read my PM response true grit... I have no doubt that you will kick ass in coco/chunky perlite. Everything that you are planning is what I'm using... Pretty much the only difference is that I'm using GH vs your AN 3 Part... :thinking
i like doing the fan leafs while on plant and let dry with sweet leaf im clubsy and drop in soil so started just doin fan leafs on plant big ups shady on the harvest bro looks nice nugs fattened up real nice all around great job bro
Thx for the props Mike! I'm enjoying the fruits of my labor right now...

Another Shady Test...
Shady Tests… HammerHead PK 9/18 vs 4/8
A little while back I picked up the new bottle of HammerHead PK 4/8 as I was running out of the 9/18.
Advanced Nutrients claims that they made a mistake of the guaranteed analysis label on the original HammerHead PK 9/18 bottle. Let’s take a look…
In the following photos the HammerHead PK 9/18 bottle is on the right…

Even though I bought these bottles at diff hydro shops at diff times, it seems that the truth costs about $5 more…

Okay, the test will consist of two separate containers containing 3 L of RO at 13 PPM…

To start, I’ve carefully measured out 3 ml of HammerHead PK 9/18…

And after mixing it with 3 L of RO the result is 170 PPM…

Now, I’ve carefully measured out 3 ml of HammerHead PK 4/8…

And after mixing it with 3 L of RO the result is 184 PPM…

:giggle Hmmm, it looks like the extra PPM’s may be in the colored dye used in the PK 4/8. In any event it would appear that the original label was somehow misprinted by Dr. Hornby, so he must have been fired and they took his name off the new PK 4/8 label…
A Shady Update...
Here's an edited quote from my
Round 6 LED Test Grow where I missed my feeding by one day due to starting a new job and traveling for work... :doh
The OG Kush is looking and smelling dank as usual…
http://i858.invalid.com/albums/ab146/ShadyRoundFive/Round%20Seven/OGLED.jpg
Today the girls were injected with a fulvic tea brewed with Great White, molasses, and
Roots Excelurator. This should help the roots recover in time for the next feeding…

Shady Update… Round 7
So far, so good… Round 7 is starting off great. For the first week I’ve had the HPS about 24” from the top canopy and just lowered it to about 14” on Saturday. I’ve also had the original res set to only irrigate for 15 seconds at lights on; this has saved considerable nutes as I would normally have to do a res change every 5 days. The watering frequency and durations will have to be adjusted as the roots become fully established over the next few weeks. For now, I’ve injected them with a special fulvic tea brewed with
Great White, molasses, and
Roots Excelurator... Special thanks to High Tolerance, my Coco Sensei, for the tea.
The following shots were taken on Saturday night at lights out, before I lowered the HPS…

Sensi Skunk #1, the runt from the previous round is now the largest one in the tray…
http://i858.invalid.com/albums/ab146/ShadyRoundFive/Round%20Seven/SS1.jpg
Blue Hellfire x Kali Mist #2 is also the second largest plant and should do much better than my first run with her…

Raskal’s OG #3 is ready for action…

P.S. These lovely ladies have been supercropped over the last few days and I've begun the lower canopy cleanup in preparation for a lower and fuller SCROG... :cool
