I am running fatman recirc May 2010 with Great White Bacteria and nothing else, plus I don't foliage feed either. Only day 2 of 12/12 but shit they look nice.


P.S. Does anyone know if fatman has a CoCo Coir recipe? I am filling the rest of my room with CoCo Coir plants in a matter of weeks now it will start.

for coco you just add more Magnesium and Calcium. So, like 1.5% Mg instead of .5%

I would curious why the different ratios for coco. Does he feel the medium makes a difference...I mean other than soil of course.

Yes, the medium makes all the difference in the world, and coco is an especially different beast.

Man does coco usually need so much calcium?
Fatmans part A is almost totally calcium nitrate.

Hey you guys I mixed up my micros (Not Fe) the remaining micros and they settle on the bottom of my jar. This is .075 liters @ 1000:1 fatman micros .03 Mo

Which is exactly why we have A+B mixes and this is fine right? Shake before usage?

Integral Hydroponics is an occasional guilty pleasure for me...I love to watch him rip apart advertising claims.

For what it is worth (possibly nothing) I have switched nutes to Scotts Hydro Pro plus Calcium Nitrate...


N/P/K/Ca/Mg/S is (from memory so don't hold me exactly to it) is 150/52/216/116/60/82 and I run at 80% of that. If coco really is a "different" medium you would think K and S would be way to high...and if K is high you would expect Mg/Ca problems. But this formula works deficiency free throughout the entire grow...not a worry in the world.

This plant is 3 weeks into flower and I think you can see the health...

Anyways...like I said I am curious to hear Fatman's take.

Does anyone happen to have the ingredients listed on a Canna coco A and B bottle?
and even the amounts of calcium etc it contains?

Canna Coco A is: 4-0-1

Calcium is 4.5%
Density is 1176 g/l

derived from: Calcium Nitrate, and Potassium Nitrate

Magnesium is 1.2%
Sulphur is 1%

Density is 1108 g/l

Derived from: Magnesium Nitrate, Magnesium Sulphate, and Potassium Phosphate.

interestingly, fatman preaches low P, except in this formula...which has more P than canna coco (?) he also uses more Ca:N than canna (which makes me think 250 ppm Ca isn't so bad).

If anybody can answer this: what is the outcome of double arrows vs single arrows? what is the relevance to P:Ca, P:Mg and K:Mg? how should i read the mulder chart?

squarepusher....the place where I got my leonardite has a note that reads to the effect...

Never mix leonardite in a concentrate containing Calcium Nitrate. They do not say why but it may be better to mix it seperately or in with the B solution.

That ratio is way too concentrated ! Which salts did you use by the way ? I use iron, copper, manganese and zinc nitrates (which I believe are way more soluble than sulfates) to make a 1:500. You might want to email Daniel about this as I have no clue :s
