This is crazy. There slowly stripping away all of our rights, as we sit and do nothing about it. Were all busy playing with the latest technology, and catching up on Jersey Shore reruns, noone is paying attention to whats going on around them! if business leaves and dont come back u will have 0 taxes cuz no one will be working. even if u dotn charge a big company 1 dime in taxes u still make money. cuz all the people they hire will be paying taxes. but if u tax them to the point they leave then so do the jobs. the trikle down effect is real.

whens the last time a poor person created a job? they just dont. but rich people do all the time. the hire a landscaper to cut thier lawns, they are members to country clubs which need wait staff, cooks, dishwashers and so on. this is a very small example. but its the same thing for big business, without them we dont have jobs. without us working we pay no taxes then cities need to raise taxes to pay for schools,police,fire, roads and so on. we need smaller government that doesn't have its hands in everything we do. we dont need programs to help people we need to help people. how many of you would give money to charities or to your local schools if it was guaranteed to go there and not get caught up in red tape and having to pay soem stupid directors salary? slowly we our fading away and countries like china are becoming the new world power. they are going thru thier roaring 20's right now an industrial boom. they are now the number 1 world exporter and we our the number 1 consumer. the reason they are growing at such a rapid rate is cuz they let thier companies flourish even beyond what should be alowed.

them democrats are using a fear campaign to stir the masses. If we do it the way of the Dems would be to tax the crap outa of them and if they fail bail them out just like all the banks. Isn't it better to give them a tax break and let them succeed? This nation needs to stop feeling like its owed something. They have to bus in people from other states- and pay them too- to get them out to protest. You guys voted the gov. in and he was clear what his intentions were. I mean I worked at a Union Construction Company in Michigan and Had my Tires Slashed by UNION WORKERS for having one non union subcontractor. I hope this is the beginning of Americans taking back America from the rich and powerful that make it harder and harder to be an average American. This is not only in the midwest, or by republicans, Washington is considering policies everyday that will impact middle class significantly to the negative. We will be the first generation to in quite some time in America to make less and have less than our parents. Three Words...Insurance, Lobbyist, Lawyers........... America was built by small to mid size business and much of the rest of the world still thrives in much smaller scale econmics than the US. The US has allowed policies to be written by major corporations and lobbyists to create ideas like only the rich make jobs.......I work in a small town around small business that are ran by "poor" people and they give people a fair wage, and as good of benefits as they can afford (since they aren't on the supermegawattkillagillion super corporation plan). All of this is just my humble VHO....

Idk keep raising the taxes on big business and soon them professional sports teams will leave to. MI is a state were a car cost more then a house in some areas. The entire city blew up and built around its big business. My unlce has been high up in the carpenters local 42 for a very long time, I was a union carpenter. Unions are great for the workers but they choke out small companies. those same small poor people ones u talk about. They will picket thier job sites and threaten the suppliers to buy materials elsewhere if the deliver to the scabs. That same small construction company that can have 10 none union workers on a 1099 can only have 4-5 union carpenters on its payroll.

The freaking Unions completely choked out GMC they wouldnt even budge even at the very end. everybody was happy even the workers then GMC files bankruptcy now all them workers that supported the unions until the end don't have jobs. How can we compete with cars or trucks when they make them over seas for a 10th of the amount it cost us? People were getting 75 dollars an hour to screw on steering wheels? when does it end?

I grew up poor I was on my own by 15, but when i lived home we had bars/gates on our windows so crackheads didnt break in. there was speed bumps in the street so the kids left to play in the street stopped getting hit by cars cuz thier parents were to busy smoking crack. My definition of poor may be a bit differnt cuz no one i knew growing up that lived were i lived had a busniess unless it was selling drugs.

we have 1 cookie jar with money in it, and if we keep buying everything from some one else and make nothing ourselves there will soon be no money left in it. I can't disagree, but when you look at percentages small to mid size business they do so much more per dollar for the local community than corporations...
And I don't disagree with his plan to lower corporate taxes and I understand the need for large business, but we must look at what we are doing to local schools and teachers, and how else we could get this money. We are cutting school budgets by margins that will make schools fiscally unsound within one year...I just question the right to remove peoples bargaining rights, and the effects such will have when done in the fashion it was laid out in the bill passed by the state house.

Great Point on the manufacturing, we must make our own things, outsourcing production of products is unreasonable, unfeasible and illogical... Thanks to all those old people hoarding the money they made off of the outsourcing of American Jobs until they die (I bet their getting their SS check)

Sorry brother, but I see what your saying, just that you're a part of the very propaganda scheme that we should be rebuffing.

To start, things are indeed very bad... all over. But the reasons for this have been in place & planned for a number of decades... and have very little to do with collective bargaining... nor taxing the poor or middle classes.

Regardless, the point of concern is that an appointed State figure can dissolve a city's government & call all debts/contracts off... even business contracts & deals with corporations... even the local landscaping company that has been under contract with the city... even the past due invoices, per se. That's hubris in the light of what our country should be like.

I see the rhetoric & propaganda campaign as the fear the government uses to strip us of the last of our recognizable rights... in the name of terrorism, in the name of natural disaster, in the name of economic peril, in the name of drug cartels, in the name of collective bargaining, in the name of social services, in the name of communism, in the name of ...

Yes things are bad, but of whose real doing? It is those that are fear mongering... and taking... and taking... and taking... and taking.... Wanna find the ones that should be held accountable... follow the money & the amassed wealth & the power. Good luck finding it with the masses of people... or their unions.
