Nice. I love it when it works out like that.

Where the hell is XXXXXXXX that I ordered?

Knock, Knock - Ohhh Sweet!

I saw some cool 'reverse' garden stakes/trellis units at the Expo. Forget who made them, but pretty slick, snapped together so you could retrofit them onto an existing plant site.

Haha I know exactly what you mean....I'm an instant gratification person though I hardly ever order online. Burpee is an awesone company though and I would recomend them to anyone. Really good customer service.

That sounds like a cool design. Ill post a picture of one I made although it is just a single site single level scrog screen.

So im still waiting on those burpee cages....but I don't think ill need them for a minute. The clones are taking a long time to root because my dumb ass set the cycle timer to one minute on and five hours off. I left them for a day and a half like that and they were flat on the cloner....needless to say they are doing fine now.

When should I start adding veg nutes just have clonex and re going now
I like to start with a light dose of 25ml of A & B (I use H&G for my moms and clones) then bump it up as you see them start to respond. I dont ever go over 500 ppms. I usually wait until the roots touch the water to add nutes.
The 25 ml is for a 120 site ez cloner which holds 20 gallons, so I assume a 60 site is 10 gallons and 10-15 ml/gal
Edit:
10-15 ml total, not per gallon. sorry.

I am running the pure blend pro grow out. I only put

1 ml per gallon of roots excel
3 ml per gallon of pure blend grow
2 ml per gallon aqua shield
half strength cal mag

ppm came out at 250. the plants seem to like it so far :).

I leave clonex, aquashield at 5 ml per and RE at 1ml per until I take them out of the cloner. Theres enough nutes in clonex to keep them very happy for preveggin.
I have a buddy right now whos plants have been in the cloner with clonex for well over a month (lazy fucker) and there huge and green ez cloner jungle.

I just want to get some bushy roots so I can throw them straight into the uc and blow em up.

honestly I use nothing but straight tap in my aero cloner. I always get 100% and they are usually to the bottom of the cloner (12" roots) right around 20 days. My tap comes out around 200ppm at .7

I'm sure I could get em done faster if I used some cloning solution, but I'm in no hurry at all so I just save the $$.

haha yeah I have a friend that does something similar. those cloners are pretty forgiving or the plants are just strong. Do you think that growth rate would be accelerated with regular nutrients though? I'm glad I bought root excel... I love how it treats the ladies bottom end

thats pretty awesome you should try clonex or a rooting agent. If you are using a five gallon cloner thats only like 50 ml per time you clone. For a 20 dollar bottle that is really worth it.

On a side note. I am really not sure what to do. I have four medical cards now, but I am not sure if I want to do a full UC. Not on my own choice but one of my patients asked for it to be done organically in soil or coco. I really dont mind, but after this run I think I am going to change my whole set up again. Damn CCH2O for releasing that new system... and here I was completely content before. I might get a few runs in and then just only run six plants vertically. I just need to build a little bit of capital first.

I have seen different arguments in the DD thread, But I am curious to some of the peoples experience here as well. I know a bunch of people have not run verticals and the couple attempts I have tried have not turned out the best. I honestly would like to just grow for myself and no other people.

To many people don't understand what it takes or the time you have to put in it. And maybe I am just tired of dealing with/ being around other people that expecting way more then was ever agreed on and I have set them straight a few times but just don't get it.

I forgot and sometimes get a little spacey, but thank you everyone that has stopped by and said whats up. I appreciate the advice and little tidbits :bongsmi:

Why? Other than make them root faster, what would be the reason? As I said, the time it takes to grow roots doesn't matter.

it seems from what I have seen that you need to have established roots before the plant really starts to grow though. My buddy killed my last plants I had him watch over for clone to start of veg. I need to get things going as fast as possible while still doing it right. I guess in my situation I need to have the fastest growth because I need to get as many crops in as possible a year. If you don't need to do that then I can completely understand why you dont worry about it. I mean you are right you can take a clipping of pretty much any plant. set it in a cup of water on your window sill and it will root.

May want to consider relocating your chiller out of the room. Wouldn't want to run into a heat issue later on. Also, you may want to relocated those ballasts on the other side of that wall.. IMHO

heat isnt an issue the room is located underground. on top of that I have more then covered the btu requirement for the amount of lights. the ballast don't put out that much heat I mean of course they get warm but meh. If it comes down to it I have a 2.5 ton ductless mini split I can put in there :).

I do agree with you about that heat. This round the weather is really cool enough. I dont have to worry about that until summer time. The chiller as well can hold it at whatever temp I want it at with all lights on. I have the system running with no plants and all nights on. Temp is not an issue at this point at all.

I would suggest prevegging in something before going to the UC. It wont slow you down as long as you take your cuts at the right time. Sometimes it take me almost 2 weeks before roots are popping out of the pots good. If you pre veg em your gonna be way ahead of the game.

I do have bubble buckets I could always throw them into? Not sure how those would do under a thousand watter. ive always just used t5 and that never really warmed up the bucket too much. just something else to ask about haha.

Next round I do want to have a batch ready to throw in right away. I might reconfigure everything though. A lot of things are up in the air this run and will help me decide. I really would like to get back to vertical lighting and a single card in the grand scheme of things. Ill do whatever it takes in a legal manner to put myself back in that situation.

ive seen your ebb and flow tables. Have you ever tried running just an air stones on the ebb table and turn on the ebb and flow continuously so there is always water in the tray? I am going to be pre vegging for sure just this round I have myself some extra time.

I may be adding another E&F table and switching that to a SWC setup too.

Use E&F cycles till I see roots on clones through the netpot, then move the best 9 over to a SWC table with a styrofoam lid with holes.

do you run a top feed as well then? I only recall seeing your ebb tables with a top feed I think? Do you use rf-10 or would anything really work for the lid?
