Man, these plants aren't even to 1 full week since flip, and they are stretching like mad!

Same plant that I showed before with the deficiency. I am gonna kick up the EC. I think that it could just be deficient.

Agreed, you should kick up the ec, the def plant appears to also have some bleaching/stress.

what are your leaf temps?

IMHO, dont' compare to masterxbubba cause that just isnt fair to the other strains. You can slam the light right on her and she will thrive. White fire you have to be a little more caring to her sensitivity, she prefers more like 18" or more from the light. That will provide the best flavor and potency.

If the higher ec doesnt fix it in a day or two, give them a foliar spray to help get those girls what they need delivered. Some kelp and/or b would not hurt, helps to ease the stress. The combined mkp/kelp/b root blaster mix would probably do the trick.

I will be kicking up the EC this weekend, and I will give them all a good Nitrozyme foliar tonight. The lamp distance to the wifi's is at least 36" right now. I will also check leaf temps with my temp gun as well and report back.

So TF, any conclusions yet about rockwool? Personally, I hate the stuff because it's itchy, non-reusable, a pain to work with and I keep having dark thoughts about asbestosis.

My biggest problem with the stuff is that it works really really well... lol

I don't really get itchy with the wool. I soak it right away. I think it lends itself towards the sterile chem nute route. If you are looking for simplicity, cheap, and the easiest transplants, then it is awesome. You can also keep nutes stable for longer, and mix less often. That said, there are some quirks. When you transplant to slab, you should do so before your plants are too big. When the plant's root mass dries out the 4" cube too quickly, it is hard for a fresh wet slab underneath to be on the same page wetness wise. If you transplant to slab just after you get roots out of the cubes it is better. I would toss my old coco anyhow, so no difference there for me. I love the rockwool for cloning. I get rooted fast and 100% rate. I will not be changing that anytime soon. I like it for moms as well. I may keep it for that as well. Besides that I will most likely be doing a coco run next. More on the organic side.

I've seen my fair share of rockwool slabs in flood tables. It definitely works. In my own case, I am trying to design a system where as little as possible is wasted or thrown out. I run RDWC, the old nutes go into the garden. I use hydroton, as it's reusable. The problem with hydroton as a cloning medium is that it doesn't present a whole lot of contact to the clone's stem, and it needs to be topdripped to get the most from it.

At the moment, I'm experimenting with 4" grodan cubes; place rooted clone in 1" cube into the block, run that in ebb n flood until there are lots of roots, then transplant into a netpot and- after roots pop through- place in my RDWC. Since I don't want to rot my roots, I placed the cube so the top is level with the top of the netpot. This should prevent oversaturation.

the leaf temps on the wifi on the left side are all 75-80F. I have a couple on the right side, that are up to 85. I kicked the EC up to 1.8, and they seem better. I think that they didn't have enough nutes for the increased lighting intensity.

When I transplant I soak the whole thing, and pour nutrient water through it. The flood table where they sit fills twice a day and that's apparently plenty so far.

Because the rockwool cube sits relatively high in the netpot, I can fill the flood table up normally and the water level just reaches the bottom of the cubes. I added a bit of P to encourage root growth, and I expect to see roots popping out the bottom in a few days. As soon as I do, it's off to the RDWC with them! The water level in the RDWC will be set so as to wet the bottom of the netpots, but not high enough to keep soaking the cube. At least, that's the theory.

Hey TF,

I have a good deal of experience with stretchy strains and scrogs. Here is what I do: I wait till two weeks into flower and then put the screen in about 18 to 24 inches below the tops of the plants. Then I bend the plants down to the screen and tie them into the screen. It might seem harsh but the plants recover very quickly and you end up using the stretch to your advantage. I've had great yields with this method.

Resinable, I did do some weaving into my screen, and some lashing as well. I think that they are close to done with the stretch.
