looking great man i just recently finished my first run in the uc and had all types of problems but produced nice dank end product. I am doing a run next round with only CS nutes and would love to pull a quarter of the numbers ur pulling. I have a 4 site and a 600w hps. Do you see a big difference in using a mh bulb during veg. Or does it matter im only using a hps bulb.Your setup is great man and you are killing it. Keep up the great work brother and if you have any tips message me . Stil a newb in the UC big time lol.
Thanks bro! This was my 6th delivery from CCH2O. I bought my first UC system back in late 2008, a 6XL under 2kw, totally crashed and burned but said fuck it and went quadruple or nothing and smacked it out of the park with a couple of 12-site regular systems under 4kw, but still wasn't satisfied with the end product flavor wise. Since then I've learned how to actually grow dank in coco and applied that knowledge this grow in the UC.
Basically, don't overfeed your plants. Sounds easy, but until you've seen a super happy plant and what it took to make it look that way it's really hard to dial in. Which is evident in most people's photos, who probably based their knowledge on other's work on the forums. If you see people say an overfed plant looks good enough you'll aspire to do the same and the cycle goes on.
Request the feeding chart with your CS nutes. Shady has it posted in his thread to take a peek, the numbers are pretty dialed but always watch your plants instead of the meter for the best results.
What you're looking for in new growth on your cuttings is a glossy medium green, like a sprite bottle, if they start to lose their lustre and turn matte green or have a dark tint you're over the line. If the new growth is lemon yellow you're safe to bump up the PPM slightly, 25-50ppm at a time.
Watch the fan leaves as they develop and make sure they're taut, paper thin and have green veins throughout. The only purple on most strains should be the upper side of the leaf stems, usually from the lights. No clawing tips or browning spots, both signs that you're over the line as well.
That's all I would share with anyone, no matter how much prior experience they may have, approaching the UC for the first few runs.
Have a good week and stay live!
