I`m working on making two above ground beds,40 ft x3 ft. x 18 inches.I`m almost done. I plan on mixing everything I have and maybe top dressing with castings later. I `ve had a bunch of males I`ve pulled so I`m going to put out the girls saved for my seed run in the rows. Repotting all the males into smaller containers and when I get the blackout tent up they will go in to cause early flower. I`ll collect the pollen and kill em off. The girls are tall but not branched out so I `ll fem them and later I`ll hit branches with pollen for crosses leaving the rest for bud production. If I can get tunnels up over the above ground rows and have enough left for fuel I can put up lights in the tunnels and extend veg time a few weeks. Hell I could also put in CO2 if I can scrape up enough $ for the propane gas to run it. This would increase yield by 25-30 %. Wish I had more $ on this grow and also wish I was younger and could work harder like I used to be able too! I`ve had a few offers to help from some locals but I don`t know who I can trust so I declined the offers. If I had one partner that wasn`t disabled like me that I could trust !

Or fall apart big time, one or the other. I got the wire up for the second above ground planter, just need to cut and put up the fabric on it. waiting on a few more boards and some plastic to finish the blackout tent. would love to get the male pollen and kill em off before any real female flowering starts!!! Only pre-flowers so far on them females ! I`m in such a rush to complete certian parts of the grow and to broke to do anything about it until beginning of next month.

Life sure is a garden when your tending one anyway. What isn`t part of the garden is worked around it and the garden consumes most of your time ,efforts and energies. The mountians and it`s elements are also a task in themselfs. Knowing about the life helps you be prepared for it`s challenges.

One good thing going my way so far is I`ve had no pests or diseases! Everything is from seed and vigirous and pest free, the grow spot is a dry clearing never used before this to grow on.

Yesterday was a tuff one, hope today goes better. I went for a second run to the creek for water and my battery I use to run the 12v transfer pump went dry about half way through filling. I set up the jumper cables and got enough of a charge to finish. just as I was packing it up to come back I had a hot wire in the truck short out abd start smoking big time. It was the hot feed to connect up a camper. I cut it at the left battery and checked everything else out ,all lights work. By the time I got back to camp it was dark and I still needed to start the generator just to charge up the 12v spare battery for the pump,so the tank in the truck is still full of water this morning! I got a bunch of stuff pile`n up on me and I woke up tired from yesterday. This farming stuff isn`t for the weak ,old and disabled. I do have a possible partner for next year. He`s 30 and is a disabled vet. He got hit by an IED in Afganistan and has brain damage. But he has a good back and seem in good shape. Best of all he is a good person ! He doesn`t know alot about breeding but seems to know well enough about growing. He also brought back some intresting Afgan/Paki seeds. He has to finish his commitment to the growers up the hill from me this year but wants to work with me next year.
