Smokin Moose, that looks great. Thanks for posting the pics, very nice to be able to get a preview of things to come. I'm waiting on my Gush and Super Kush to arrive any day.

itll be nice to see how these come out and how he compares to these new breeders putting out kush hybrids and all that. is he still in europe or us? or top secret haha

Thanks Moose

Here are some pics of Rainbow Chunky and Rainbow Dreaming. I have also put an image of the Carrot strain.
And for the mods, both Rainbow Dreaming and Rainbow Chunky have never been sold, ever. The breeder does not ever sell seeds. I just don't want mods to think I am spamming. I thought you might like to see some premium Aussie genetics - which I might add are rarely written/posted about.

Rainbow Dreaming In Oz: 3 Pounds Of Cannabis Per Plant

Photo: Garry Von Billen
13 feet high -- and then there's the plant.
The potent cannabis sativa strain Rainbow Dream, bred by legendary grower Garry Von Billen, took the Australian marijuana world by storm when it was unleashed in 2003. Von Billen on Friday morning took the time to tell Toke of the Town a little about his connoisseur strain and the story behind it.
"I was lucky to buy some Jack Flash (Jack Herer crossed with Haze x Superskunk) in 2002 on the street in Nimbin," Von Billen told us. "I grew and pollinated the buds with a strain I have been growing for 25 years called Carrot (sativa that was smoked in Sydney in the late 70s), and the result was Rainbow Dreaming (R.D.) strain.
"I was impressed and so were my friends," Von Billen told Toke of the Town. "They would ask me where I got the hash from. I entered it into the Australian Cannabis Cup held in Nimbin at Mardigrass time, 2003. The judges loved it and it won hands down. It was entered again in the 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 Cups and won each year except for a second place in 2006."
According to Von Billen, Rainbow Dreaming combines the strengths of its varied genetics.
"The taste is very reminiscent of J.H. with a very uplifting high from the Carrot and the smoothness is nine and a half out of 10," Von Billen said. "The stone last for hours and doesn't result in a headache like some other strong strains.
"Growing this strain is a long-term project and the plants are voracious feeders," Von Billen told us. "They grow to 4m [13 feet] and quite busy. My friends call them Christmas trees on roids. The stem attached to each leaf has a vibrant purple streak on top and the leaves are medium to light green.
"If you can't get a yield of three pounds from one of these girls, then your growing methods should be adjusted," Von Billen said.
"Three of my friends/acquaintances used the buds in their last weeks with cancer and their families said it was the best way to go, just so peaceful," Garry told us.
"Keep up the good fight for pot law reform," Von Billen said. "Hemp Hemp Hooray!"

nice to see a piece of the oz, is neville working with that rainbow dreaming strain?

im sure a lot of quality buds are grown down under over there.

Well here we are at the 7th week into flowering. I reckon I am getting close to peak florescence and the room is filled with unctuous aromas ranging from fruit to spicy to floral to dank, very fucking dank.
The Rainbow Chunky looks amazing. Still short (3 foot) and now with a prominent spire like a church steeple. Again I am amazed at the sativa'ish plant growing so compact. Flowering internodes are very close - it is a very pretty little plant.

The Super Kush from Nevil is friggin ballistic. There are clearly 2 phenotypes, reflected in varying height and aromas. The colas are well defined and filling, looking like indian war clubs lol.
I am watering every 2 and a half days, and feed every 5 days. The plants are vigorous and some fan leaves are beginning to yellow. Apart from feeding, I am applying a seaweed tonic to stimulate the flowering process and make for bigger fruit. This is applied every 5 days.
Next two weeks I will begin my carbo boosting, by adding 40ml of Maple Syrup/10 liters of water, and applying with every watering and feeding cycle. I have done this before with terrific results.

I hope you enjoy the update.

Man I want to be in australia growing herb in the rainforest. Seriously. . . tired of the USA. If I had some marketable trade skills I would probably emigrate to down under and soak up some sun, let the trees hit 20 feet tall and drink beers with my pet koala. But the kangaroos wouldn't get any beer I'm afraid they would freak out. Koalas are chill.

Here are some pics of Nevil's Super Kush at 8 weeks into flowering.

Well said, I couldn't agree more.

These photos are making me impatient... I want my seeds... Super Kush where are you?

Looking good moose,
Do you smell any camphor or pine blended with rich dank afghan smells?
Those are what I have in my few og mom's.
I have 9 super kush under the sun looking all blueish and sweet.
along with another 9 gush plants,
the super kush will be closely compared to a few Fire Ortega (La Eme Fire) and Fernando Ortega (SFV) both og's bred to my Ortega male (bourbon)
...the plants are exceptional so far and many carry the og smell.
Did you ever ask Nevil about his NH19 x MM5 ?
I would love to hear something since I did buy them,
eh?
germination rpt.
Gush...9 soaked,9 growing,100%
Super Kush...9 soaked,9 growing,100%
NH19 x MM5...3,3,100%
NH36 x Oax...6 soaked,2 growing,33%
a few (36 Oax) seeds were abnormal and should have never been in the mix.
peace
keep it green
