Every day is a good day as long as its a dab day
and every day is a dab day in my book!
that looks amazing! could you go over your process to get that wax consistency? I'm also still trying to find a good butane can/gram ratio.. so far I got 13% return (1.5g oil from 11.5g little buds) using 2 cans but feel like I could have ran another can through.

I use 1 can butane per 30-45 grams of trim in my tube. I also get about 13% average. In my opinion i think you should use less butane and save a lil money.

The wax consistency is from whipping your oil after spraying it. I dont ever whip myself, because its been said that whipping traps butane inside your oil.

The method I've always used to judge how many cans of butane to use is to count how many cans it takes to first start seeing oil coming out of the end, then double that number. So if after running 4 cans through your chamber you start to see butane coming out, then you would need 8 cans. Sometimes I throw in one more, but I don't think it ads anything really worth it.

I haven't been doing this as much as I used to but the last couple times I have tried using a thermos (dewar flask) and soaking the trim in there for a butane bath, then decanting the butane after an hour. Anyone else extract this way? I haven't gotten the best results, but I need more testing before I decide which is better. One draw back is that you have to freeze your butane but this actually can be done in a few minutes by placing the cans on top of some dry ice.

And the third and final batch of the day was a small run of WiFi...

The smaller batches are not using my saber blaster tube and are done with the smaller glass tube that does NOT have a carbon filter like the larger one. I am working on a better filtering method. The glass rig runs on the concept of "no filter at all with small hole" just like you don't use a screen to smoke with a glass pipe.I never notice the plant matter in my wax while i smoke it, but i always seem to see some in my pix here!:(

It is not a hugely noticeable difference but the way i figure it is, i need to use some sort of filter any way and i have had a bad experience or two with coffee filters so why not? Plus I am hoping that the carbon will soak up any non-labled chemicals that might be in the butane. I work with carbon filters and additives in my day job so they are cheap and readily available to me.

Things are starting to show up in the local glass shops around here in SF to be put into your glass rig in line in your down stem and your nail or flower bowl goes in top.

i figure, why filter why i am smoking, if i can filter while i am making?:)
