A good buddy of mine got popped years ago via a burglar alarm. Once it goes off....the cops have (or had then..maybe it's different now but I doubt it) "cause" to enter.....and that's what happened to my buddy. 15 plants in a non-med state and a 500 lot of diazepam.... needless to say...he was screwed for years and eventually just stopped doing drugs/growing altogether.
good luck/be safe everyone

put in your own system they have ones online that alert your phone or laptop pretty badass and noone but you knows it there
Shit like that is why you need an alarm in the first place...Do what I did. Just steal someone's alarm sign off their lawn. works almost as well.
Federal law should have no bearing on whether or not they're willing to do business with you. But reading this, I can see our getting a security system installed becoming a whole lot more difficult, all things considered. Makes the dog option stronger.
Just. Not. True.Again, I must interject here.
A dog is not a security system, and expecting them to be one (no matter how well trained) does nothing but put you AND a defenseless animal at risk.
Dogs do not have higher cognitive function. People do. It's a no contest situation even if you have the best dog in the world. It's not safe for you or the dog.
Don't put your faith in an animal that you can't even communicate with--and don't betray their blind faith in you by expecting them to know when and how to protect you. They don't and can't know those things.
Find another way. I'm aware of what happened to you and understand the impetus in wanting to prevent any repeats in the future. I just want to see you protected, and a dog won't do it.
