We all have our methods, whether it be growing, smoking, eating, fucking, whatever, we all have favorite ways or ways that work best for us. Personally i agree with Surfr on properly grown/dried/cured green over oil or hash, and i agree with Ghengis that a lot of plants peform and even yield better when fed more lightly. However, im a notoriously heavy feeder and i love the way my flowers turn out (super dense, triched out, aromatic, tasty). I have some of Ghengis' nugs and they are killer, great aroma, flavor, look, VERY nice work, and i know Goo kills it from my Ca boys comments to me personally. To each his own eh? Just my $0.02 fellas. If we all did/liked shit the same way, there would be FAR less variety/ styles to choose from. Much love to all! Motiv out

I like some of the strains that I have, that don't require 5-7ml of magnesium per gallon. The GSC Imedz cut doesnt need Cal/Mag. My Chemdog D is a bitch, it will eat as much magnesium as I give it, even to the point it causes a lockout.

What is this Sea Green I heard about? Got a link?

Goo- A small coco tip goo that may potentially help you is make sure the coco is thoroughly flushed before a plant goes in the pot to a proper ppm (this is a crucial part). Then I feed low ppm with a 5.4-5.5ph and watch the runoff ph to make sure theyre eating and how much from the ec. Coco seems to rise significantly for me and the lower initial ph keeps the zone closer to the 5.8 -6.0 range.

This is just a tip and works for me because bro your nugs ALWAYS look flame! Several ways to get jobs done though. Hope you have a good holiday homie. Keep up the stellar work. MWD

Ive used quite a few brands of coco and never used canna for some reason. Thats a great starting point because I've seen roots coco palms come out near 1000 ppm out of the bag! I was wondering why a couple of my plants were so bad looking... well that was why after triple checking them and the bag. I will give the canna a shot as well.

I've had some pretty salty coco b4.. Bcuzz coco 1700 ppm, black gold coco 1600 ppm, I've tryed 2 others but can't member the names & they both were over 1000 ppm.. Canna always has very low ppm rite out the bag but it sure ain't cheap..

soil FTW, coco is a boom for the distributers and companies marketing it as it's a byproduct from their coconut harvest and due to most of it coming from Indonesia and Sri Lanka or somewhere, lol
I'm betting the profit margin makes the companies keep shit eating grins on their faces for weeks :D

8-10bucks a bag for black gold and it does the same thing as coco but even a better job, imo

Coco can put out a blingy flower but is emptier and more on par with hydro versus true soil. I've tried every medium and I'm back to what I started in 15 years ago...lol

Yeah, it doesn't have a ton of ingredients in it like Roots Organics and is certified organic versus Roots "Organics". I've always kinda had a bone to pick with Roots Organics, they are in Oregon where there are 3 solid diff certs, like the Oregon Tilth, Washington state has a great one and OMRI and they have neither. Maybe they can't afford the certification or just don't feel the need for it, who knows. I do like some of their liquids they make but wish they would back their Name with some independent certification of sorts...

Black Gold is consistent, cheap and I feel the soil produces a better texture in the nugs, for example the way the bud is glued together(rather crude description) but it is denser typically or more fiberous and tastes better and isn't loaded with salts to start with.
It seems plants will grow roots in almost any medium, doesn't mean it's better or a great new alternative; sometimes it's a new way to make $$ for these companies more so.
I can grow plants in pillows or whatever but to pay $20something for a bag of a byproduct/waste from a coconut harvest seems like a waste of resources, imo
I've seen coco pull huge and be great looking/smelling but typically less flavorful and a more hollow texture to the dried/cured flowers.
If you have good results with coco, stick with it is my message but if you have issues with it ditch it! Save money and use something that roots have been growing in since the inception of flowering plants...
