I'm starting my 2nd crop since moving into this new place. I picked up an iGrow induction light for $950 to see how it compares to a 1000w. The induction light came with promises of low heat and a perfect spectrum of light for plants, which it has delivered on so far. Sounds great for simple closet grows or places that may have trouble with cooling issues.

My last crop was a pretty stressed and not quite set up properly for maximum yield, but I still managed a little over 9 oz from the iGrow. I did notice a few things though, like the plants seemed to uptake a lot less water (~20-30%) and different feeding regiment. These are some of the things I hope to address with this diary.

Part of the new crop has been in since Oct. 20 and the rest just went in a couple days ago.

Yeah I saw some of that inda grow stuff on another thread. I went with these ones for many reasons but mostly because it has USDA and University testing behind it. The light itself is based on providing the a better PAR (Phostosynthetic Active Radiation) light spectrum as opposed to lumens.

Tesla would be proud!

*the HPS remains 16"-20" from screen and the iGrow stays 8"-14" from screen. The iGrow was lifted ~18" for pictures.

I watered all of the plants 5 days ago, making sure there was 10% runoff.

Today, the OG plants B,C under the HPS need watered, and the OG plants B,C on the iGrow side have another day at least before watering is required. These are in 3 gal. pots.

All of the top soil in the GTH#1 under the HPS is getting a little crusty, and the GTH#1 on the iGrow side is still slightly damp. These are in 5 gal. pots.

Everything else got water yesterday (6 days since last water) except the three plants of GTH#1 on the iGrow side and the two OG plants on the HPS side fed Tuesday.

Today the remaining three GTH#1 under the iGrow will get watered.

Don't worry, I'll compile all of this in a chart at the end of the harvest.

Yesterday I fed the OG plants on the HPS side (5 days since last water).
This morning everything else got watered (5 days since last water) except the GTH#1 on the iGrow side.

I'll try to get in there when the lights turn back on to snap some photos of the progress.

Fed the GTH#1 plants under the iGrow 2 days ago (6 days since last water)

Today I fed the OG plants under the HPS and under the iGrow (5 days since last water)

Tomorrow the GTH#1 plants on the HPS side need water (5 days since water)

49 days in 12/12 cycle. I count flower days from the time I see actual flowers forming (~6 days in) so that would make it around 43 days of actual flower time... Is that correct?

The GTH#1 B and C under both lights all have milky trichs with maybe 1/100 slightly amber, so I started them on flush yesterday even though they didn't need watered yet. Kinda crept up on me. It will be a very jolly Christmas!

The GTH#1 A pheno went a lot longer (according to trichs) than the other phenos last harvest.

Today the Scott's OG plants on both sides got fed (4 days since last water). They are getting thirsty in those 3 gal pots!

Nice grow, how many watts is that iGrow??
Thanks! The iGrow ballast says 400w but I think I read somewhere it is actually pulling 415w total.

I figured out my camera has color filters! This is the pheno of the GTH#1 C that is about to come down.
When I chop branches I'll lay them next to each other for comparison photos, plus I'll definitely be recording weight.

Subbed! Thanks for spreading the knowledge, I've long considered induction lights myself but the market is still extremely young.

Rare Dankness - OG Ghost Train Haze #1 phenos B and C.
5% amber trichs.(desire more Sativa cerebral high)
Pulled at 55 days of 12/12 cycle :D

It seems they vegged and stretched about the same from both lights, but the buds on the HPS appeared to have more weight. I guess we'll see when they cure :)

I think the iGrow had more leaves but smaller and the HPS had fewer leaves but larger.
You can also tell the HPS was using slightly more neuts even though I was giving them the same feeding chart.

The two on the left are from the HPS and the two on the right are the iGrow.
HPS L iGrow R

These two are the GTH#1 C phenos. HPS Left // iGrow Right
GTH C

These two are the GTH#1 B phenos. Again, HPS Left // iGrow Right.
GTH B

They are all trimmed up now, and I'll post more pics of these ladies' beautiful produce when it's ready to go into jars :D
And yes, these are all pretty small plants.

Good pheno hunt, any comments so far about growing the Ghost Train? Is she a heavy feeder, light? I always thought GTH would be very finicky to grow, but yours seem to be loving whatever nute regimen you're giving em!

You should weigh them now so its more accurate because they might dry at different rates.

Nice plants.
