Weve always been a 3 dog family...all being rescues. Last summer my loyal friend who I worked with for several yrs for him to be able to overcome an extreme fear of humans...he was severaly abused as a young boy...I had more of a connection with that ol boy than any human I've ever met. He passed away this past summer due to an inoperable tumor and within weeks of being diagnosed he was gone. We still have our 2 sweet girls...Pepper Clarice (her Mom named her) and Mary Jane (which was a joint venture on the name..pun intended haha) and I did NOT want another dog in my life anytime soon. I had resigned myself to when it was time I wanted to get a senior dog from the shelter and try to give him a good retirement life.

Well my wife had other plans. A cple weeks ago she brought home a German Shepard pup that's sharper than a tack. Huge paws and growing like a, yep you guessed it...WEED haha couldn't resist. Here he is just turned 11 weeks old, getting house broken and basic house manners down right now. He will be going to an offsite training program at 6mos old and at that point he will come back ready to protect. MGG

Shepards dam good breed, good family dog, chase criminals out of yards, smart, and good combo of wolf in those dogs, look at the ears. The dog pillow, that for humans we see who gets the couch,,, :) I know one thing, I wouldnt try to sit on that couch without the owner at home.

we have a terrier cross, looks jack russel rescue, a chihuahua rescue and came across a great deal for my 1yr female. All of them are smart as hell, blows me away. Would love to have a farm/rescue some day. Most bad dogs, want to be good just takes some time. Again, they are awesome looking pair

Just want to throw this out there. For those of you looking for a protector and want to do a good deed for a retired MWD (Military Working Dog), there are groups trying to find good homes for our furry war veterans. These dogs are highly trained and have done their work to keep us safe.... they deserve a good, safe home to retire to. If anyones interested HMU and I'll try to get you the info. MGG
