An article in the Huffington Post with a blurb from W.O.W. Weed:-)

Passed all our laboratory testing with flying colors! Now we wait 24 hours and we can send out our first shipment to our local retail shop. None of our packaging came.....so we had to improvise. Hayden made us a label.....we went to the local united grocers to get baggies, found a seal a meal at Goodwill for $4 and heat sealed each bag.....bought all the rolling papers in our little town.....made our own crutches and stamped WOW and a pot leaf with a seaweed based food grade "ink" on them........making it all work out even if it is so much more work:-)

Welcome to journalism. It can be absolutely maddening to feel as though your story hasn't been properly reported. Reading the Huff Post story now!

This is not in reference to you but I have yet to see labs give people bad reports for mold and whatnot and I've seen some samples from people go to the lab that should be getting a bad report but if it's not obviously visual(the mold) the lab seems to give thumbs up everytime...I mean they want your money and they want it next time too...some labs are not on the up and up. I would really like to see some lab protocol followed for the good of the patient and not the good of the labs finances...

the best is when you give multiple samples of the same herb to different labs...or when the lab mixes up the results and gives you a hash result for your flowers....lol Biggest lab in Cali pulled that off...

it's wild seeing all those lil baggies zipped up for sale...your local govt says you can break the law(federal) and if you were in another state you'd be in a different boat....it's so weird to imagine...

Isnt it crazy how the feds are now selectively enforcing the laws?All legal states such as washington and colorado(which is REALLY blowing it up!)are left alone yet they are still cracking down in other states,even medical states like cali.This is making them look very stupid,after all the law is the law.You would think that this could be used against the feds in court to show a bias towards one citizen vs. another.Their house of cards is crumbling,as more states vote to legalize it will crash down completely and they will be forced to capitulate or enforce the law equally everywhere.
Someone posted a video of jody emery(marc emery's wife)who has now decided to run for political office in canada and even she was pointing to washingtons legalization as a situation where federal laws both in canada and the US are in direct conflict with the peoples wishes.She said even though the conservatives in canada are only 20% they are somehow able to control the other 80% through policy.She is running on pretty much a strictly marijuana legalization platform and when confronted by her lack of experience in other areas her answer was "why do i need experience?its just common sense and the people running things now dont seem to have any"
Have you ever considered running for political office susy?WOW weed may just give you the platform,It seems to be working for emery,lol.

I was not in the least worried about our lab tests as far as contamination really. We had no reason to think we would not pass microbial testing.....perhaps some of you hoped we would not but that is your issue, not ours. Not sure what labs you use....where they are.....or what their standards are....... but the WA state Liquor Control Board has such stringent rules for labs that there are only 3 certified in the whole state to do testing for the recreational market. Not sure what would be good enough for some of the folks here.....certification from "God" that our weed is ok? Might be hard for me to achieve but of course I should be held to some greater standard than anyone else out there apparently including the medical market that makes "medicine". State certified lab testing is good enough for us thanks very much and of course jumping through the hoops that the government put in front of us just to do that has left me with about 3 hours of sleep for each of the last 4 nights to boot. And still here.....not good enough....should have had your product tested 97 times by 97 different labs and I doubt it would have been good enough or pass muster with some of you!!!!

Thanks so much BeenBurned:-) What a path it has been.....! We are on the east side already and our products should be available soon in Ephrata, maybe Prosser and somewhere in Spokane when I get it sorted out as to which shops we want to do business with. I will only sell to shops that won't mark up beyond a certain point. If I am going to all this work to provide a product at a decent price I won't work with a shop that wants to mark it up 300% and that is a promise. I just hope to have it down to an actual reasonable price on our next crop where our yields should be good enough to support that. $4000 an lb does not seem like anywhere close to a reasonable price to me and yet it is probably one of the lowest prices that growers are currently charging in the recreational market here. I do not know of any other growers charging less than that and everyone I know is just taking the highest bid from retailers:-/

As to Cup in Sept....no...I am no where near good enough for that yet ........but next year.....who knows......as you can see....anything really is possible if you put your shoulder behind it and give it your all:-)

I would not pay 4000$ per lb for 14%. No matter how nicely rolled by Susy it is

We are allowed to sample 1 gram per strain per month.....84 strains for a reason:) The different smells and strains are just incredible to get to know and it is just crazy wonderful really.

Give it a couple years, you'll be on the up and up! No hard feelings. Just to read this whole thread and to see you constantly jump at every chance to knock someone down is hypocritical.

Why call all experts if you won't listen to anything? You may be drunk from power from your current harvest, but I'm sorry.. Take aid from the people trying to help you. Thcfarmer is a invaluable source for knowledge, in fact Texas kid gave some great pointers (dial down, run smaller amounts).

I do not go to your grow thread and tell you how or what to do or anyone else's for that matter unlike you however. I do get tired of being told how I am doing it wrong....go figure huh....what a surprise! As to Texas Kid....he is a master at this. I will never be in his league...never.....before I ever possibly could I will be on a beach somewhere soaking in the rays and sipping on a pina colada in a senior moment. I know that much better than you. Dialing it down and run smaller amounts would get me nowhere in the scope of what I have to do here however. We are already small potatoes. Going smaller is not an option. What I was looking for when I first came here never appeared....good solid advice about setting up something like this, but I hung around just because I thought for some reason people might be interested in the craziness that this "legalization" process puts in front of a person. Actual growing information....very few people here have offered much unless it is in the form of criticism....although there is plenty here in so many other threads...peoples grow journals etc. and I have learned from a lot of that. For the most part advice offered in this thread has been criticism of what I am attempting to do. I get tired of it...mostly because I am already so tired. This has been hard....not necessarily growing....the bureaucracy of it...the regulation of it....the compliance of it...it has been incredibly hard and the growing has been the easiest. Most of what I have reported here has little to do with growing actually again because I am no expert in any sense of the word. I got a crop out....the only thing amazing about that is that I did it inside the constraints put on us by the system....nothing more than that.

You are freaking crazy man....seriously crazy. You have not tried to help me in any manner at all dude. Don't even try to say you have. I have not even pushed at anyone here except in response to what I perceived as attacks....perhaps I am a bit touchy but if you were in my position I doubt you would deal with it better. What I am is happy that I was able to pull it off.....I don't think there is anything that I need to apologize for in that! Just sayin!
