Tetraployd polyploid or hemeroid ?

No it's not but one of the only ways to make tetraploid seeds is to add colchicine or oryzalin(which works better) to the seeds of a triploid (3n) plant to make it a hexaploid (6n) then cross it with a diploid (2n/regular cannabis) male to make tetraploid seeds then if you want you can add colchicine or oryzalin to that to make octoploid(8n) seeds and so forth but that would look very ugly but it would be very potent I assume. Here's how it goes

Diploid gives of one chromosome then the other plants gives of one chromosome making another diploid.
2n + 2n = 2n
2n + 4n = 3n
4n + 6n = 5n
4n + 4n = 4n
6n + 2n = 4n
8n + 2n = 5n
8n + 6n = 7n
And so forth

It's double the chromosomes so double the size double the foliage double the potency but not always thought it must be checked to see if it is a polyploid under a microscope.

Thanks for the reply Kush Cloud, very informative, I got this HA Pink Kush plant from a fellow that used to grow out tetraploid HA pink he says it was near double the potency and sold for near double the going price for any kush but it was more than double the trouble to grow. My friend says the extra foliage from having 4 branches at each node instead of 2 is a nightmare of foliage especially if you have to deal with spider mites ect. The OG and EPK didn't take but maybe the timing was off the pink x pink is loaded with seeds.

Yea I seen the real tetraploid pink kush online but I never had any I would like to get a cut one if these days though. Can you post pictures of your plant when it gets into flowering stage?

Polyploids have double or triple or quadruple the amount of chromosomes than regular natrual diploid cannabis. So any other things are just mutations I some sort. This picture is of pink kush if you look closely you can see it shoots out 4 leaves instead of 2.

Billy scrapped his Pink Kush line all together, I received a few in an order by accident loved the look of the plant so I saved one, lucky thing I did because they are no longer available. This is probably the best weed I have smoked since early 1970 or so, the high is like Thai x Kush, Thai gives it the clear high and the Kush affect gives it hang in power, if you keep on puffing it starts to get real trippy no couch lock although the first time I smoked the stuff I miscalculated the dosage and had to lay on the floor for 10 minutes until I could get it together. I tried to trace it back to the original breeder but gave up when I found out it came from the HA boys. The main problem with this strain is it's slow slow growth rate it grows at about 1/3 the rate of a good indica x , nice chunky buds in 8 weeks but real slow veg rate. I crossed it with BCBD The Black which produced a nice jungle looking plant with near normal growth but the heavy Black indica really dampened down the high. If this plant interests you Billy crossed it with another stain and called that line Nephilem but nothing beats the pure pink.

Here is a pic of HA Pink Kush in a beer cup, this plant shoots out a lot of leaves with just one blade the big leaves in this pic are all single blade leaves.

Its either a mutation or that's a mutation of a triploid. Which that means it probably got crossed with something else and it's not the tetraploid pink kush which is stronger than a triploid but I could be wrong. did it shoot out 4 one leafs blades at a time or 3?

KK I don't really know what it is for sure that's one of the reasons I tried to trace it back to the breeder so I could continue to breed back to original genetic's but once I discovered the HA people were involved I dropped the idea, go ahead and e-mail Bill let me know if you learn anything. The high is much better than the O.G. Kush he has, Bill is a bit of a mad scientist character with difficulty staying on topic so you will need to be patient, he tends to discourage people away from this pink kush because of the slow veg. The plant pushes out single blade leaves here and there all the way until it is cut down sorry about the shitty pic I'm short of time I'll find some time maybe in a few days and get a better shot. I'm going to hog these genetics you may like his Nephlim which is Pink x Diablo but I didn't like the Diablo high myself strong but just not as Thai like as the HA pink.
