Killer info, did he mention what coir/perlite ratio he uses? Thank you prime.
He likes straight coco. House and Garden or some other kind.

@half baked @ftwendy
No reflectors. I take them off when I am doing half pipes or if the plants are getting too big. That's a 12' x 24' room with 9k and even with no reflectors it's really really bright in there. Without a reflector and depending on strain you can get much closer to the bulb as well.
this is with pure coco..if cut with enough perlite, once could multifeed from the jump with similar resultsKiller info, did he mention what coir/perlite ratio he uses? Thank you prime.
I need to transplant 12 seedlings and I have to admit Cap, a pic dosnt lie The "rootMakers" seem to have an advantage and being the square uses all the space it can. Nice... still small, but able to spread out the roots a bit more.rootmakers have a much better structure as they are growing wider and branching out better
@Jenny I was using basket drippers from the hydro shop. They are pretty much open ended tubing with a screen. One per plant, 9 plants per 3x3 bed. I was getting about a 1/2 gallon of runoff per day for each bed, and watering in probably 3-4 gallons or so. @soopy DJM has had the game on lock for a minute now. That guy kills it. Same with @JACKMAYOFFER He is using 3 gal smart pots to grow 10' tall plants. I remember having a conversation about this when he was putting it together and we both knew you could grow a massive plant in a small pot as long as you kept it fed and watered.
I know @waayne will want to chime in here too at some point as he is a firm believer of the appropriate sized pot for the plant.
I am not saying you can't have a great run in a small container, but there is something to be said about a root bound plant as well. It's all about the veg time. I am 100% sure plants with a larger pot/root space will grow bigger, wider, quicker. Keep in mind DJM keeps his plants in veg for a really long time (like 8-10 weeks).
Just wanted to share a side by side. 4" pot vs. 1 gallon round pot vs rootmaker that is wider than a 1 gallon Round pot and holds a bit more Soil. You can see that the plants in rootmakers have a much better structure as they are growing wider and branching out better. In my experience stifling the natural progression of a plant with a small pot leads to a plant that will never reach its full potential given the same amount of time to grow. these 3 of each size pot were the best selected of 10. Meaning there were 10 4" and i pulled the best 3 for the photo etc..

Damn bro you drink a lot of creamer :DAgree @Prime C and it shows in your grow
when I opened up the Creamer container and Basically had a tap root Maze for miles
I also wanted to add that feeding at a set time is a good idea as the plants develop a schedule as it were once I started feeding on a regular set time IMHO gives the plant an almost Coasting Zone,
One person I think @waayne calls it "riding the wave" as the plant follows a course and just never Stall out till the flush.
Lots of O2 and multi watering in the FlyJ hempy Coco Container.
Special Thanks To The Hempy Crew. And the Farm
