I totally get the question. After years growing in tents and fell I've always had a leak someplace I've had very few herms in that time. This run I didn't realize I had extreme light leak issues growing in a room and had a couple plants throw nanners and some that didn't. All the plants I feel are genetically great and the plants I would have stressed didn't herm at all and the ones I figure would never did. It's another game of chance I think. And it depends more on a particular plant than strain if you know what I mean. Like some strains herm from time to time and it's a known factor one needs to watch while others hardly ever do. But even strains that have been known not to herm you could grow a particular plant of that strain and it does. Lol. I think breeders can breed the tendency out yes but if we agree herms are most often caused by the grower I don't feel like there is a plant that's herm proof.
I agree in part with you @Tnelz in the grower induced hermies. However there are a landrace genetics that are prone to hermi traits. For example thai/Indonesian strains

Then we have good ole Sour D that is unstable and prone to hermie or throw nannners. I do agree that with stable established strains that if they hermie it 9 times out of ten is grower error/induced stress.

To keep it simple, the hermie situation is a genetic survival gene so the species can create another generation. Sometimes a plant will hermie or self itself to assure continuation of its line. Some of the best growers in the world have done everything right and still had herms or nanners. I dont seem to remember 20-30 yrs ago folks having this much trouble with herms as I see nowadays. I would attribute that to all of the random pollen chucking going on and peeps not taking the time to actually keep good notes, go thru hundreds of plants and really breed a line until it is true breeding. Most folks dont have the time, patience, or resources $$$$ or space to really get into a full blown breeding setup. Locking down desirable traits down and breeding out bad traits takes years of work and dedication.

There is a huge diff between an accomplished breeder and the run of the mill chucker. I would add that this is just my opinion and wasnt intended to flame or get flamed. Just my 2 cents

@SeaF0ur curious on the elmers glue again. Sorry man. Can you remind my dumb ass what it is and any background you could give me would be awesome. Think I'm going to pop a few along with the Luther dogmans from mota. Thanks man.

elmers glue is a clone only as far as I'm aware... there are certainly femmed seeds out there somewhere else, but it is "the white" which I believe is a pheno of triangle kush pollinated with a reversed GG4

Katie Stardawg with 25 days left. No denying the oniony garlic catpiss skunk with a minor in diesel she has. She would def make a fire cross with a kush.

Here's some shots of the butter I finally got around to making. Wanted opinions if I fucked it up or what. It looks so damn dark . I Could only run it for 14ish hrs or so in the crockpot on low. I See zero plant matter in there. I Guess I will have to sample it to get an idea on how I did. Just wondering if I did something wrong.

Crockpots get way too hot on the low setting, I have made dark butter in a crock pot too, tasted terrible. Double boiler on low is the way to go, gives a good potent golden butter.

Looking frosty. She should do some swelling for ya. It seems as though she truely sends out different scents to every single person that grows her. Get no diesel from her and a lot of chocolate. Power got something much different then you and green goo got something kind of a mixture of the three. She def is a pretty decent yielder so good luck.
