Week 5 Flower, I Think I Got Hermit Plants. What To Do

is it possible to get pollen on yourself from dried flower that came from a hermie plant, like seeded bud.. ???

You know, depending on what you paid for these named seeds and your grow space options. I would say grow the males and reap the seeds. Because how much are seeds of a particular strain...like 10 bucks each!?!?!

so i think my plants did hermie... i don't see any "manners" but you can tell it kind of looks like light bleach.... so my transformer blew.. normally my lights run 10am to 10pm... thursday night my power went 6pm so instead of turning off at 10pm it turned off at 6pm.. then the next day friday, electrician got my power up at 2pm.. and friday lights were on 2pm until 10pm but then the power went again but it was during dark period so it was ok, but all of saterday the light was off. then sunday electrician fixed the problem and lights came on at 1pm but went of at 6pm again... today the lights came on at 10am.. finally fixed the issue. but thats what happened thursay, friday, saterday and sunday.... could that cause them to hermit??? also on saterday it was about 85-90f all day in the room and humidity was 70%plus, but just for 1 day.... could that cause them to hermie ? i noticed that not all my plants hermied but enough did. are they gunna stop producing bud?

If you are not seeing male parts there is no hermie.

All of the light problems can cause flowering to be inhibited and can cause stress that grows male flowers.

I need pics to help at this point.

im gunna get some pics.. best way to describe what im seeing, diffrent spots on the buds it looks like the underneath of a sea urchin or starfish, it has those in diffrent spots... and i also noticed that it didn't happen to all my plants. i will get picks

if my room did hermie.. how do i clean the room to make sure pollen doesnt fuck up the next crop?

picturessss. you don't have access to a cellphone? water disables pollen. any regular thorough cleaning with detergent should suffice. i suppose if you're really worried you could use a stronger diluted bleach spray but its probably unnecessary. i just make sure i spray and wipe every surface well, especially fans and haven't had any problems yet, knock on wood. i would imagine if you have a ton of stuff in your garden you would be more likely to have problems also.

sry i don't much about that stuff. you could upload to a different site but it'll change the address. if you use imgur, can always just change address i think to at least see what you're talking about quick.

Stamen look pretty much like little green bananas. They can be alone or in little bunches and can grow right out of a calyx with the pistils or kind of in between and partially obscured.

I have strains I like to grow longer than the breeder intended and see these during ripening often.

Still have only found a couple of hidden seeds and have grown a bunch like this.

But that doesn't speak for poorly bred genetics. I guess from everyone's warnings some seed up their gardens.

It sounds like you are describing open male flowers. Are you seeing them on the upper colas or lower buds? I just dealt with that myself. I had 4 plants herm on me from bad pH. Hopefully when we see the pics its nothing.

if i have like 10 strains going in the flower room right... and the hermie plants, end up making all the other plants hermie... now if one of those 10 strains starts making seeds, can i grow those seeds? will they be female seeds? and are they prone to hermie if i grow those seeds out?

can you post a pic with open male flowers so i can tell you if thats what im seeing on my buds... if it is,... what do you suggest i do

If they are females then the self seeds and the crosses pollen seeds are all likely female. Nature will always make a small percentage male.

If the same stress that made them hermie is still there more chance to repeat.

I have run seeds from a bud (hermie bag seed) and had no problems most times.

Can't be sure of your pics. Maybe regular room light. Or use flash?

take the pics from the front or if you're going to take them from the back put flash on. i don't see anything in them i can say is definitely hermie. there are a couple that could be fused pistils or maybe nanners but can't tell cause the shade. don't see any open male flowers or any of the bud structure not accounted for with calyxs. put on flash and take pics with light in it without shadow on the buds.

So I've been taking cuts from my Hawaiian and have never had a nanner issue. HOWEVER, my old tent is very LIGHT LEAKY and this is the FIRST time my cuts have done this..... I'm just carefully picking them off and watching the shit outta them! HERE are some 6 week in flower pics, dagnamit! :) p.s. My new bigger tent comes tomorrow ;)
